Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThere is a fly in the ointment here. I have never encountered this - cleaning and changing linen and towels for an additional fee!
There is everything here that a tourist needs who does not want to throw money at restaurants.

SwitzerlandThey could really clean and maintain the place better, especially the common areas such as the lift, the parking and the corridors… it looked filthy dilapidated decorations in those areas… even though the room was clean, the overall feeling for guests was not good.
They tried to make guests feel comfortable, by providing small amenities and gestures, such as hot tea at the entrance, espresso coffee machine, pet bowl with water at lobby etc. Their parking was very safe, only accessible to hotel guests and costed only 16 euros per day. Their staff were all helpful and friendly!

RomaniaA chemical smell in the room, ,but it went away by day 3☺️
Good size studio, very clean. Comfy matress and pillows. A great plus is the undergroung parking (16e/night). It is very safe, only the hotel guests have acces. A surprise was the deposit required at check in(100 euros), but it was returned after check out, later in the afternoon. 30 min walk to old port on big boulevards, ok during the day.

MaltaThe electric stoves were not functioning properly.
Clearly, it was a pleasure to have a bath tub in the bathroom. Convenience is that our room has a simple culinary space.

United KingdomParts of the interior corridors look a bit tired and I believe some level of refit is underway. The surrounding streets are typical of a neglected city scape - maybe the street cleaning budget had been blown. That aside, for access to the hospital it is excellent and I believe metro links are very close.
For any one visiting patients at La Timone hospital this is ideal. Self contained, self-catering apartments within easy stroll of the hospital itself. Pet friendly and with its own secure underground garage linked to the floors by lift.

UkraineUnfortunately, lunch-box before the flight wasn't ready, despite the fact we asked for it beforehand
Clean, close to metro, it's definitely not 3* hotel, we'd say closer to 4*. Fully equipped kitchen is also a big plus.

IrelandThe down side is that the area where is located is far from city center and the beaches. You will have to use the public transport or an Uber to enjoy your day in Marseille. Walking distance from the hotel to Old Port is almost 38 minutes - we thought we could handle it, but with a heat of 40 degrees in mid July was really hard to walk for long periods (our mistake nothing to do with the property). I believe that if you are travelling for autumn/winter this place will be just fine to stay. Also we had a minimal problem with a clogged sink in the toilet. We notified the receptionist about it but they didn’t solve it - it was a small issue that we end up ignoring but was still annoying though.
The apartment was cleaned and organised. The fact that it has a mini kitchen area with all the essential utensils inside the room helps a lot. We arrived very late and the late time check in with 24 hours reception service is simply amazing - in our case they didn’t charge for this, we informed by message we would arrive late due to a flight delay and they answered quickly saying it was no problem for them to wait for us. Also, shout out to the daily time staff that was really nice to us, they even borrowed us a phone charger and saved us!

Czech RepublicThere was some weird smell in the room, the AC did not work, we were told it is because it is not the season yet but it was so hot in the room all the time, we had to sleep with the open window. The bathroom looked like it has been trhu a lot, there was rust and broken tiles, but everything was clean. One day we came back to the hotel and the door from our room was open, we ask at the reception how is that possible since there should not been any cleaning and nobody was able to answer that. Also, some stuff does not speak English.
The location is great, near La Timone, 10 minutes to Port

UkraineThe housekeeping or hotel staff doesn’t know the state of the rooms. First they gave us the room which was with dirty bathroom, leaking water- really lots of water on the floor- everything needed serious repair in a bathroom , and it seems nobody is checking the rooms whether they are ready for new guests. Then they gave us the double bed room instead of twin room- which I originally booked. They assumed that I will share same bed with my 80 years old auntie; Then they finally gave us a room -on a floor which was undergoing refurbishment-with plastic covered corridor.. anyway. It is over now. But the room supervision or housekeeping/technical team definitely needs either change of management or good training. The receptionists then were trying their best to be nice .😁
Some staff at reception were nice and smiling.

United KingdomThere was a lack of heating option, so it’s a bit cold in the room. The cot was also very dated so we couldn’t use it at all. And towards the end of the stay, the elevator was broken and we were staying on the 4th level yet there was no help (or offer) given to move our luggages.
Location, suitable for our needs as we have a young baby
