Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsRooms on the small side.
I read mixed reviews and we usually stay at the 4 seasons or Reserve de Beaulieu which is double the price. I think it's reasonable for the area/quality. The beach is fantastic and so is the restaurant/bar. I think most of the people complaining can't afford to stay or eat there. The hotel is charming. We were there with our 2 kids and is was perfect that they would play on the beach the whole day.

United KingdomThis was our fifth stay here. Obviously it’s nice hotel and has really good vibes. There are some small minor things which I think they can improve on such as at least leave a bottle of water every day for us in the room. There were some oranges in the room and one of them was rotting .. At least look at the fruits and replace the ones which are going over ripe. Our room was non sea facing so can be noisy with the traffic on the road. Otherwise the service was good and hotel was good. Also the bar needs to keep some proper big ice cubes for making cocktails. Small ice cubes are a bit dated in my view for making cocktails

SpainThe bed was small (very French thing), the food was below standard and the towels are no longer white and fluffy.
The setting and location are stunning. Even though we had terrible storms, the views were breathtaking.

United KingdomIn most cases, the service at the hotel was great, but there were one or two interactions which did not meet the generally high standard. The menu in the restaurant was a bit limited although the food itself was nice.
The Hotel is the historic former residence of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and is a beautifully restored, art deco treasure. The location is wonderful, on the beach looking out over the bay of Juan Les Pins. The hotel beach and jetty has sun loungers, tables and a waterside restaurant, as well as a spa, and a lovely terrace looking out over the bay. The main hotel has a stylish cocktail bar, with many photos of the Fitzgeralds and other celebrities who have stayed over the years. Our room was spacious, stylish and comfortable, with a superb, panoramic sea view. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of local and international dishes - it was possible to take breakfast on the terrace. One can walk directly from the hotel along the shoreline of the Cap d'Antibes.

BelgiumBathroom was very small, shower was in the bathtub, not convenient. Toilet just behind the sink, etc ... There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room but you had to pay for every cup, seems ridiculous in a 5 star hotel.
Top location, very friendly staff, lovely garden with wonderful views of the bay. Stylish room but very small bathroom.

United KingdomWe booked a last minute overnight stay in this beautiful hotel before our trip to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat the next day. We booked a superior double room with a balcony but the room ( Room 92) we were given was two times smaller than what was advertised, and it didn't have a balcony despite being listed very clearly on the reservation. The bathroom is also outdated. The room was located right next to the main road, which meant that you can hear the noise of every single car and motorcycle passing by. The antique elevator right in front of our room also made a lot of noise, which of course has also been incredibly frustrating. Coffee pods , sun loungers , beach towels are charged which are free in other hotels. The hotel reception staff were professional and pleasant. Belle Rives is a must if you are in Antibes and have unlimited budget.

SpainIt didn’t feel 5star but the prices matched it. The cheapest rose wine was 12 euros. Sparkling water was 8 euros for a 33cl bottle. I requested to book a table downstairs through the app next to the bed (there was a qr code) and I never heard from them. It was 45 euro extra to have our dog. The rooms were clean but didn’t feel 5star. No pool or gym or any facility you’d expect in a fancy hotel
The location was great, right on the beach. Friendly staff and the hotel had a nice terrace overlooking the water.

Switzerlandsome of the landside rooms are very small and the light from the outside is very bright at night.
Very unique and outstanding place in the Cap d'antibes. A hotel with a long history and tradition to meet highest client standards. You arrive at the hotel and with the welcome coffee or tea on the terrace the outside world is forgotten.

CanadaFor a five star property I would have expected more from a service perspective. Check in was poorly handled and the maid was still cleaning the room at 5:30 pm when we were escorted to the room. Very junior staff that need to be trained. Could not answer basic questions.
The location was magnificent . Kim the hostess was warm , friendly and helpful. She should train the bell and front office staff.

United KingdomThe rooms were small, but generally well equipped. One of our party didn't have enough room to hang all of their clothes, but with the hotel full they couldn't move.
The location and views were perfect. Breakfast was first class, with everything that you could want beautifully presented. We breakfasted on the terrace overlooking the bay, which was wonderful every morning. The beach club and beach bar/restaurant were great if a little pricey, which is to be expected for the hotel grade and location. Concierge and desk staff were attentive and really efficient
