FranceThis is a jewel that we were so lucky to find. We had the top floor suite which was lovely. The dinner in the downstairs restaurant was a highlight of our trip and the breakfast (brought to our suite in the most adorable picnic basket ) was wonderful! In a very busy, tourist packed village, this was a much needed breath of fresh air.

Attractive hotel with a lovely garden. Good parking. Helpful staff. The room had lots of individual touches and a fantastic bathroom. When we stayed the restaurant was closed but we had a wonderful “picnic” breakfast in our room supplied by the hotel. Great location for the visiting the Monet garden. It was so nice to stay in the village after most of the tourists had left.

We were rebooked at La Plum Art, the companion Guesthouse due to a closing of Le Jardin des Plumes. Although disappointed that we had to be moved, our stay at this small renovated Guesthouse was excellent. The renovation was tasteful and the rooms and bathrooms superb. Gorgeous linens and bedding. The mattress was perhaps the most luxurious that I have experienced in my global business travel at many 5 star hotels. I slept superbly. Breakfast was lovely, each coffee individuality prepared French Press style. The property is an easy distance to the Giverny sites.

If you want to visit Monte’s gardens this is the place to stay. We were able to walk to the gardens without the hassle of parking. The restaurant provides a once in a lifetime meal. Breakfast is funky in that they place your selections in a picnic basket.
