Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPossibly a little over priced but that’s all
Room was lovely and light with doors to walk out onto garden. Very clean and modern. The mini kitchen was really great for making lunches. Door code system is really easy. Felt very safe. Good location for the trendy Cours Julian

ItalyWould suggest to improve the process to order breakfast which is clunky. Every day you need to pre-order it by 5 pm for the following day, and pay via a link sent to your email, which expires after a while. But if I’m on holiday I’m not supposed to check my email. A mobile pos would have been an easier and quicker option.
Exceptional location, spacious room furnished with works of local artists. Very nice taste in the furnishings. Very nice little garden where you can have breakfast and relax.

BelgiumEven though it was in a quieter little street, central Marseille remains noisy and opening window not possible due to noise of motorbikes.
Very trendy, nice common areas and lovely little quiet garden with orange trees. Hotel well equipped to eat there if you wish (plates, cuttlery, fridge etc). Very friendly and helpful staff. Very well located between Cour St Julien and shopping area (St Ferreol) and port.

This property surpassed all our expectations. We were incredibly impressed by the service, the new, fresh and clever decor. The warm welcome and relaxed kitchen/ lounge area with coffee facilities was such a highlight. Great showers with L’Occitane products and new clean towels. Lovely outdoor courtyard with citrus trees. Quiet at night and good firm comfortable beds. Thanks so much - a perfect stay in Marseille!

United KingdomNothing to complain about here.
I liked almost everting about this hotel. There is no reception so the entry is arranged by text message on the day of check in and this was all seamless. The room is spacious and well decorated and the bed is very comfortable. I liked the little kitonette in the bedroom and fact that tea and coffee was available in the common room and kitchen downstairs all through the day, the outside terrace also looked great. There was a breakfast option which looked good but I never got around to trying it. Because of the remote access I never seen the staff at the hotel but the room and the common areas were clean and tidy and everything was well stocked. The location is great for exploring the city centre or for shopping. I loved this hotel and I would definitely return.

United KingdomWhile understandable at the price point, the room was cozy with limited closet space.
Very modern and comfortable, with many charming and convenient details (coffee and a mini kitchenette, books, and lots of outlets in the room; a cute indoors and outdoors common area). In a cool part of town with great street art, restaurants, and vintage shops - slightly more off the beaten path and more interesting than the Vieux Port. Nice and helpful staff - easy check in process. Spotlessly clean. Good value.

United StatesThis is a very nice studio apartment in the center of the city. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The room size was ‘cozy’ for 2 people with large suitcases. It’s an active area, so expect some neighborhood noise at night. Driving in Marseilles is exciting. Be sure to have them meet you upon arrival to help with luggage, as there is no parking. We recommend the Rome parking garage, which is 6 minutes away.

IsraelThe only complaint I had was that in October 1st they switched the air conditioning to heat so no tru A/C however they were helpful and switched it to cool for us personally which was great. Also the safe and the room key did not work digitally so we received an actual key but that was ok. So overall good hotel good value for money
The location of this hotel is very good. Close walk to the port-15m To nice street s with shops -5/8 m and to hip streets -4-6 m. Also 5m to metro. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Beds comfortably. Hotel was quiet. They did have a staff member from 10-18:00 which was helpful

AustraliaEverything was perfect.
I stayed in King room and absolutely loved it. Super comfortable, sleek and modern. The heated towel rack was amazing. The free coffee service was exceptional. Great location with loads of shops & supermarkets near the hotel and The Old Port was only 10 min walk away. I didn't use public transport but saw tram line and bus service near the hotel. The 12 o'clock check out was the cherry on top. I very much appreciate the lift.

United StatesThe road could be a bit noise since I preferred sleeping with the window open. One could not hear any sound with the windows closed.
The location is within walking distance from the harbor and nice restaurants. It is well connected with a bus system. One can pay the bus with credit card or phone upon entry. So much French charm! The hotel room is super modern and clean. There is a cozy common area in the basement. There is an elevator and strong WiFi!

ColombiaThe pillows were too soft for my taste (but perfectly ok for my partner)
The mattress is amazing. The room is totally sound proof and the black out fully blocks the light. We had the best sleep we've had in ages. The shower is spacious and it's sexy that it's visible from the bed. It's also good that the toilet is separate from the shower and the basin. The toiletries are great and the room had a mini fridge (which didn't make any noise) and a microwave, which both came handy. The towels are fluffy and large. The common areas are nice to hang out at.
