Our stay was spoiled by the rude awakening at 6.30am by the clattering, rolling and sliding cacophony of sounds that came from the Iceland lorry delivering to the nearby store which lasted over an hour! Sadly there is probably nothing that can be done about this but would regrettably put us off a future stay in one of those rooms and hence the marking down on comfort and location!

We love the quirky Archangel and this time stayed in one of the upper courtyard rooms. The room was spacious and had some of the great features which we often find lacking at other over night stays like coat hooks, a full length mirror, a shelf in the bathroom to put washbags on and fresh milk on request for tea/coffee to accompany the delicious cookies that are provided. We appreciated the variety of breakfast choices too !

It was a noisy, lively place, too noisy for me. The room was lovely but the noise outside in the patio area was so loud that it felt like the people were in the room with us!

Bar semed to close a little early for a friday night.

Great town centre location. Staff were very helpful, room was clean with a good shower and splendid towells. Suited our requirements for a one night stay.

Tiny basin in bathroom with big immovable overhanging tap was very impractical, especially when the basin did not drain properly. Hosts knew about plumbing problem but had not warned us and probably should not be letting the rooms affected. Tea but no milk in room. Not made clear but we think we might have got milk from bar.so not great for morning tea in bed.

The courtyard room was a little noisy due to being able to hear people drinking and chatting in the courtyard. However this never went on late and so didn’t disturb sleep.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and warm. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely and so dog friendly. Our dog was offered breakfast every morning, and water anytime we went in the bar.

The green emergency light was somewhat distracting while sleeping, but the hotel thoughtfully provided an eye mask and earplugs, which was a nice touch.

The lighting was a little too dim, and the only other negative that I had was that our room had a bathtub in the bedroom and a separate WC, but there was no private shower. It made it a little awkward to wash because I was sharing the room with my sister, so we sort of had to leave the room so the other could wash. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was a bit annoying. The bathtub was massive and really cool, but I couldn't just relax in it because my sister obviously needed to come back to the room. I wish I would have known in advance about this as it may have affected our room choice when looking for somewhere to stay. This was the only issue, though. Everything else was great. I'm sure it is perfectly fine for a couple sharing the room, just not ideal for siblings! :)

I really liked the location of this hotel, I also really liked the vibe too, the bar area was cool and everyone was relaxed but helpful. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was very good, the room was clean and tidy and suited our needs perfectly.

We were slightly surprised to find the rest of the Inn closed on arrival and had a slightly complicated time accessing the room after missing a voicemail. Staff on the phone very helpful at trying to sort it out.

The position hidden in the centre of Frome, with a large room on the courtyard. Nicely designed but in need of a bit of redecoration and maintenance in some areas.
