Was told on arrival that as I has booked through a 3rd party (Booking.com) that customer parking was not free and I had to pay £18 for overnight parking.

A lovely “old-worldly” hotel and a perfect location for visiting Cambridge

The couple of members of staff that we encountered were not British, with less than perfect English and they seemed very inexperienced which came across as not caring enough

PERFECT Location for visiting Cambridge for the first time

It definitely needs some fresh paint, some new carpeting and a little bit of jazzing up in general, but overall it was a good value for the money and as a lovely view of the river and park across the street if you’re on that side

It’s a funky old hotel that does need some updating but it’s clean and it’s much better than staying in a sterile chain place. The continental breakfast wasn’t super, but the dining room is nice and so is the staff.

Had to pay extra for parking, if we had booked direct, there was no charge.

Excellent location, small room was a good size, good continental breakfast. And parking.

The carpark price was a bit of a shock! Understandable for non-hotel users but too high for hotel customers. It would be good to give hotel customers a discount at the very least!

Great room and lovely breakfast in a good location. We really enjoyed the 1990s decor in the hotel - such a vibe!

The doors are very slammy! The neighbouring rooms were very loud coming and going for much of the first part of the night.

A really self-contained little room, and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was ample for what I wanted.

I always book it for the location.

They didn’t advertise ‘continental’ breakfast and our room was great but the lights outside lit up the building, only got switched off at 12, so I didn’t have a good sleep

I didnt like that we were living a big distance apart instead of together or near by. And the beds are quite small, so they cant be good for co sleeping with a 4 year old.

The breakfast could include eggs. It would be much more appreciated and much healthier that way. The staff at the counter was very helpful and polite and friendly

Dated decor. Musty smell in the corridors. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Not enough plugs in the room. Expensive parking.

Handy for the centre of Cambridge.
