Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaYou had to run the hot water for ages before hot water came through. The shower base filled with water as it took ages to drain. No rails or hooks to hang your towels.
Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Did not have to climb stairs.

AustraliaLots of stairs- but that is true of all hotels in the Paddington area
Was given an upgrade to a room for 4 people which was great. Modernized, clean room with ensuite in a great location for a very reasonable price. There was the option of having breakfast for an extra charge. Breakfast was really good, and also very good value for money.

Spain- The mattresses were made of jelly - which doesn't help when the idea of a hotel is to sleep. - Only 1 towel per person. - They didn't ask for any documentation upon arrival and we had to leave the key before going out everyday - which made us question about the security, since anyone could walk up and ask for any room key?
The location of the hotel was excelent. The room for 3 was big enough for us to not feel cramped. The bathroom felt new.

IrelandOverall, I had a nice stay at this hotel. Staff I met were friendly. The location of the hotel in Paddington is very convenient, and in a peaceful area. The room was comfortable. My only grumbles would be that the breakfast ending at 9.00am was too early, especially as it was a Sunday, and the clocks had gone forward by one hour. So, I didn’t rise for it. Check-out was also early at 10.30am. The wash basin in the room was on the small side, and with the glass shelf above, did not make it easy to use. The shower was good. I slept well.

AustraliaTowels are really small and thin, luckily I'm a petite person but it wouldn't have fit around an average size person. There was no hot water to shower with, it was tepid at best. There is no lift here so if you're travelling with heavy bags or multiple bags be prepared to climb flights of stairs.
I stayed for one night in a standard double room on the first floor. The room was clean tidy and warm. The hotel is located a moments walk from Paddington, a Tesco Express and Greggs is around the corner, three pubs within spitting distance. You can just hear the rumble of the tube trains which I loved, its not loud so wont keep you awake. I didn't have breakfast at the property but it was only £7.50 for a full English which is good price.

United KingdomThe heating was on, I like to be hot but to be able to regulate the temperature would be nice. At points the room was too hot.
The location was perfect for all my business meetings and it was really easy to get to from Paddington Station.

United KingdomThe only thing negative was the family in the room above the children were jumping off their beds on to the floor which made a terrible noise, but that’s them and not the hotel itself.

AustraliaThe Stairs and breakfast not being included.
Room small but typical of budget hotel in Paddington area. The stairs are impossible and difficult to negotiate if you have a big case. The final flight of stairs are very steep and I think might be dangerous for some. Breakfast was not included so I chose to buy own elsewhere. There is a bus stop just out the door for returning form the centre of London and going into London there is a choice of buses on Praed St about five minutes walk away

MaltaNo lift and my room was on the fourth floor. The last two flights of steps were awkward and very steep. Also, the description says that there is an in room safe, but there was no safe in my room.
The property is located just a stone's throw away from Paddington station, and is surrounded by pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Staff was helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable.

United KingdomLovely staff. Great location. Yes, not luxury, I have OCD so very judgemental, but it was absolutely fine. I stayed in a single room, it was tiny yes, I could hear the tube train yes, but I was prepared for that. The bed was really really comfortable, I didn't want to get up. Felt a bit like staying in a friend's spare room to be fair.

United KingdomI have been in this hotel twice already. It is clean (especially for English standards) and in a very good position. However the rooms are very small. I noticed this every time I have been. It doesn't matter as I don't spend too long in the rooms anyway.
The location is very good, close to Paddington station and near lots of shops.
