Perfectly remote but a short drive to the most incredible scenery. So many beautiful walks and waterfalls within 25 mins. The house was perfect and a great price

My friends and I came here for a long weekend for a reading retreat. The cottage was very welcoming and cosy, well furnished and stocked with anything you could need. The log fire was a life saver (we lost power during a storm) and really added to the vibes. David was a great host, he checked in to make sure we were okay after the storm had passed. The beds were comfortable, linen and bath towels provided. Unfortunately due to the storm and lack of power we had to cut our trip short but we will definitely consider coming back for another weekend.

We loved everything. We spent 2 nights there in December for a birthday celebration. We watched lots of movies, chilled by the fire, and watched the stars at night. You felt so isolated where you were. We are already looking at dates for our next relaxing get away.

The shower had a lovely strong pressure but it was tricky to stop the water going over the floor and difficult to control the temperature.

Beautiful setting. Spacious clean comfortable home away from home. Had everything you need. Despite the issue with the shower we loved our stay.

The property would benefit from an upgrade to the tv so that it offers BBC channels for example and maybe Netflix other streaming services.

Beautifully presented and clean, good location for our travels over the weekend. Beautiful surroundings. The cottage has all the things you would need for a break including a washing machine and a dishwasher.

The downstairs bedroom seems colder than the rest of the house. There is heating that does warm the room, we felt we needed it on over night in November as it’s minus temperatures and to be fair we are not use to this sort of temperature in a stone built building. I’m sure the locals would have thought it was tropical ;)

Property is clean, well equipped and set up well to house a family/ number of people. It’s remote- down a long farm track so if you want to be away from it all but within driving distance (10/15mins) of local facilities this is a big tick.

All Good

A wonderful place to spend a quiet relaxing week. The house is located about a mile down a (well surfaced) farm track in the middle of crop fields with only one other house in sight. It was a real luxury to have a whole house to ourselves! The kitchen was well equipped. Amazingly given the remote location TV and WiFi worked very well. Bed was comfortable. Whole house was spotlessly clean and warm despite the cool summer weather. There is a range of shops within a 15 minute drive so no need to feel isolated. The surrounding Perthshire countryside is very beautiful.

The cottage is in the most idyllic location in Highland Perthshire. In the middle of nowehere but 8 mins from the local town and 20 mins from Perth. David and Julia were excellent at communication, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
