The bathroom mirror in bedroom 1 could do with being lowered 4 to 6 inches. Being only 5ft1in I could not even see the top of my head. Otherwise all was good

Had to go down and ask for WiFi code. More sockets would have been handing with 5 of us wanting to charge phones etc. maybe a four way socket would have been useful as adding sockets would be tricky. No lock on bathroom. One of the double beds was very noisy and mattress was a bit uncomfortable

Staff were great. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return. Comments below are just for your help to improve the room, definitely not a complaint

Lack of lighting - or no lighting - this lobby to our room was dark with trip hazards ! Not ideal The access route up spiral stairwell was dark and unlit - or the other one was busy with diners!! And a steeper and rather dim stairwell A fan or something kept clunking off/ on every 20-30 min for 10-15 min throughout the night disturbing sleep

The lady who let us out the next morning ! Had we not found her we would have been stuck ! And the locality

The only thing which we found not to our liking was the bed which was uncomfortable, being much softer than we are used to.

No breakfast was provided however the evening meals in the restaurant were well cooked and very good value. My wife has a nut allergy and was catered for easily, far better than some more recognised hotels we have stayed in. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Both bar and lounge were comfortable and offered a good range of real ale, brewed locally. Parking on site was good offering more than adequate space on busy weekends. We stayed in a budget room which had tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries in the bathroom making it good value for money, and considering that we were near a busy road was very quiet.

I would have preferred the toilet seat to have a lid as I think it’s unhygienic to not be able to close it when our toothbrushes are in the same room, and the bathroom could benefit from a hook or towel rail to hang your towel on whilst showering.

The staff were all really pleasant and helpful. We were able to get a drink at the bar, and they allowed us to check in early as we were going to a wedding. The room was more than big enough for a family of 4 and my son was delighted to have a double bed to himself. The location was perfect for the wedding that was just a mile or so down the road, and we could see our car on the car park from the bedroom window. Beds were comfortable and clean, the duvet was really soft.

Nice and friendly staff. Traditional hotel and pub Arrived latte and still could visit town centre at 11 pm for pizza dinner.

Found a used soap in the shower, no glasses for water, veranda was basically a roof top overlooking a main road with no furniture, I did expect more.

Location was fine, 10 minute walk into town.

No breakfast even though they have an on site restaurant. Room was cold. No heating. No thermostat or knobs on radiators to turn heating on.

We didnt have breakfast option with our room which would of been nice to have. my husband came down in the evening one night and asked a bar maid if we can order food and take it up to our room but we was told no, but the night before we was aloud to take our drinks up with a menu. We would have ordered food but because we couldn’t have it in room we went Tescos and got some snacks to take up to our room instead. Which was a bit disappointing. As we wanted a nice meal for valentines in room.

The room was lovely and big and bed was comfortable and was in prim location for seeing the family and far enough out to get away from the madness of the ball game.
