Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United KingdomThe beds were too hard for our personal taste, but that is just a personal preference.
Rooms were clean and equipped well, staff were extremely friendly, especially Maria the wedding organiser, James on the front desk and who also helped at the wedding. Ollie at breakfast was also very polite and helpful. The Wedding Breakfast food was lovely and hot and very nice. The perfect venue for a wedding.

United KingdomParts of the hotel are looking a little tired. In our room the hot tap on the bath didn't work and one of the bedside lamps didn't have a bulb. We were woken at 4.10am with people talking outside, below our window, which was open because the room was stuffy and the air-conditioning was noisy and couldn't cope. I've stayed in other Macdonald hotels and they were excellent, so they set my expectations

United KingdomWe had a terrible night's sleep. There was a lot of noise, and at one point, a beeping alarm was going off every 90 seconds and driving us crazy! Frustratingly, when I called reception no one answered, even though I tried several times. In the end we had to traipse there - there was no one at the desk - then hang around at the var waiting for a free staff member. They did get it resolved, but it took ages. We were on the ground floor so people wheeling stuff along on the road outside was so loud.
The pool was lovely, and having a child-friendly time period was great. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The room was pretty nice too.
