The beds were too hard for our personal taste, but that is just a personal preference.

Rooms were clean and equipped well, staff were extremely friendly, especially Maria the wedding organiser, James on the front desk and who also helped at the wedding. Ollie at breakfast was also very polite and helpful. The Wedding Breakfast food was lovely and hot and very nice. The perfect venue for a wedding.

The Hotel met what I expected, though I had to eat out as the meals were a bit high for me and my family. Sorry didn't eat breakfast as am not a breakfast person.

The hotel was huge, lots of large communal spaces but utterly soulless. The food was expensive and small portions. The price for breakfast was outrageous - the food was not good quality. Very dissatisfied

I booked the hotel because it had a pool and I was very disappointed that it was shut for repairs. I was not made aware of this before I booked,

Parts of the hotel are looking a little tired. In our room the hot tap on the bath didn't work and one of the bedside lamps didn't have a bulb. We were woken at 4.10am with people talking outside, below our window, which was open because the room was stuffy and the air-conditioning was noisy and couldn't cope. I've stayed in other Macdonald hotels and they were excellent, so they set my expectations

The windows were misted up in the room also in the breakfast room.. the window catch was loose so the window never fully closed which might be a real problem on colder days.. we also found outdated information as in no phones in the room and a half bottle of water in the room from a previous guest

No lift... I hadn't thought to say I needed a ground floor room as I'd never have imagined there would be no lift! We didn't try the restaurant as the reviews are so bad. Breakfast price is crazy!

We had a terrible night's sleep. There was a lot of noise, and at one point, a beeping alarm was going off every 90 seconds and driving us crazy! Frustratingly, when I called reception no one answered, even though I tried several times. In the end we had to traipse there - there was no one at the desk - then hang around at the var waiting for a free staff member. They did get it resolved, but it took ages. We were on the ground floor so people wheeling stuff along on the road outside was so loud.

The pool was lovely, and having a child-friendly time period was great. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The room was pretty nice too.

Hardly anything on offer for breakfast at 9:45 even though we were told breakfast was until 10am. Swimming pool & steam room had very strong chlorine spell.
