How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

TV in the room had no reception. Stairs to the Top floor might be a battle for those of a certain age.

Super location, city centre near everything, train station a 5 minute walk. I stayed before and thought accommodation was pretty basic but huge improvement this time around. Very clean and comfortable. Near pubs/bars but was able to sleep ok.

The only downside is the very close proximity to pubs and the lack of soundproofing, so if you don’t plan on staying out late like us you will struggle to sleep until 2am.
The room itself was lovely. Larger than expected with a very clean and spacious bathroom and lots of natural light throughout. The location was great with proximity to pubs, restaurants, the docks and the Liverpool philharmonic. The staff members we met were also very kind and happy to help with any issues.

Size of rooms but did the job Didn't like my friend being charged 50.00 extra from his card for no reason whatsoever so he had to ring back to get it back after putting a pound on his card originally So watch out people for that

No air con or fan and it was a high rise room with a window that couldn't open as the headboard was pressed against the window. Extremely stuffy and uncomfortable as was 21 degrees outside :(
Staff were super friendly and accomodating. We were able to leave our bags and check in later. Room was clean

Shower water pressure not good. No socket by the bed and no stool or chair, which I'd have liked. Room faced a busy road and, though the double glazing worked OK, it was a little noisy.
Haven't reviewed this before but stayed here loads of times, It's my goto hotel in L'pool . Location is great for bars, restaurants & the train station, Staff are down to earth & really friendly & will be very pleased if it's available when I'm next in town.

Sewer smell in bathroom compact room lots of noise from other guests is ideal for groups stag/hens etc this is reflected in the price

The only thing i would say to be aware of is that there are a lot of stairs. Also, one of our rooms we booked was quite a walk from reception.
We came here for a hen weekend and the location was perfect to be right in the city. The local pubs near the hotel were also a great place to meet as we were such a large group. For somewhere to lay our head for the night this place was perfect.

The sheets had some small stains on them. The room was smaller than I thought. There was no bedside table and the bed was too high to reasonably use the floor
The guy I checked in with was very friendly. Bed worked.

The young lady at reception was very helpful and friendly. The location is ideal, and the room was very quiet. The room was also very clean, and good value for money.

The hotel adjoins a noisy bar that was having karaoke night, but this was audible only in the lounge and corridor, not my room, There was a little noise from street revelry, but that was not unexpected.
The hotel offered the a good price for a room in a very convenient location in Liverpool ---- just a few minutes away from Lime Street Station. Staff were friendly and helpful.

When flushing the toilet a bad smell of eggs come but besides that everything was great
Staff were great, when we first arrived and went to our room the bed was uncomfortable so we went an asked could we have a different room with then we got give an upgrade witch was really appreciated . Stayed here a few time would always recommend. Very clean
