Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe place was really close to the underground, it was really easy to reach it from the airport and it takes just a few minutes to get there. The staff was really nice and helped with anything, the place was clean and quiet. I stayed for a week (6 nights) and the experience went very well, I also had to print a paper from my university and they printed it for me as soon as I asked! Really thankful to the staff because they were always nice to me :)

MexicoIt took us all morning to extend our stay because the reception staff apparently has no control over the bookings and they don't allow reservations there, everything has to be done through booking.com, which didn't help us either.
We had a very spacious room with a small kitchenette and a large desk, there was a frying pan but no spatula so there was no way to use it and only a cup and a set of kitchen utensils.

FranceThe staff was lovely and very easy to contact, the room was nice and clean, I slept very well. Plus, the building is two steps away from the closest Tesco Express and tube station, making it very easy to go to the heart of London.

Czech RepublicUpon my arrival the bell on the front door to the reception didn't work and it took few minutes before the staff noticed me standing outside. Also there is a train station right next to the building which was causing some noise at night but i didn't mind that much because it wasn't that loud.
The staff was very nice and checked me in quickly and without any problems even though i arrived to the accommodation very late (around 3 AM) due to the delayed flight. The room was prepared very nicely and cleanly and there was very good WIFI connection.

ItalyAt least a bin should be introduced in the rooms to collect the garbage and maybe even a broom. For the rest it's top
I liked the fact that it was a real student facility, there was a gym, laundry, games like billiards or pin pong, the ps5.

United Kingdomsome basic regular housekeeping would've made it better and maybe a paid breakfast option.
It looked like a new building clean and tidy inside out, rare to find in a place like london. There were a few hosts all very friendly. room access is through a card which is easy to carry around. Rooms also share a large kitchen with all necessary appliances. Also a tesco express nearby to get basic supplies.

GermanyAll doors have sealing for fire protection, this makes opening them extremely loud(imagine opening a fridge door but 4x as loud), and the sound propagates really well in the corridor. You could usually hear the other people on the floor being awaken alongside you when the first person left. The light in the bathroom was controlled by a infrared sensor. It only stayed on for 30 seconds and could not see you inside the shower so you either needed to constantly step out to have light or use a lantern. They promised to fix this problem so maybe the fault was in my unit. The "fully equipped kitchen" had only utensils for eating and plastic serving spoons, no can openers and not even a vegetable knife.
There is a Tesco supermarket right accross the street and is in the same block from the metro station. Comfy bed, even got a double bed instead of a single person one. Great view of a part from the windows and good sound isolation from outside. Ample kitchen space and fridge with freezers in case you are staying for a long time.

GermanyThe booking process was a HORROR: apparently, the Booking.com system does not communicate with the hostel´s own booking system so it took us 8 messages with 8 different people to finalize the booking. And all this 24-48 hours before arrival, although we booked 1 month ahead :-( We didn´t need all this stress before the trip!
The location is easy to reach, the hostel offers fair accommodation at moderate prices. Top floor rooms were really hot in the summer and air conditioning didn´t work initially but then got repaired. Good value for money for students on a budget.

BrazilThe only thing it could maybe improved for travelers of short stay is that there isn't any cooking stuff such as cutlery, pans, plates or glasses. Also there was not toilet papper, I had to ask for it at reception and they provided it.
Great place to stay for short or long duration. The apartment is clean and just meters from the tube (Victoria line) and has a tesco right in front of it. Internet is good, bed comfortable and good shower. The staff are very kind, Cristina was very helpful with any questions I had.

FranceHowever, there are some negative points. It's a student residence, so the room is located in an apartment with shared kitchen and other student rooms that are there all year round. So they had little respect and made noise, slammed doors even late at night. And the kitchen was therefore very dirty, do not recommend using it!
The room was great, with its own private bathroom, felt just like a hotel, but for students. Welcome was easy at reception and the card system is very practical.

Czech RepublicThe fan in the bathroom couldn't be switched off and the bathroom light was also automatically switched off after a very long time and couldn't be switched off manually. The water from the shower was draining quite slowly too (probably if I had reported the problem to reception they would have fixed the problem). However, there was no trash can and a broom with a dustpan in my room.
The accommodation looks nice, if you want to go to London to stay for a few days everything is fine. Great access to the underground and quick access to the centre. Tesco is just across the street and open until 11pm. The USB charging ports next to the power outlets are great too.

BelgiumThere was no bin in the kitchen or the bedroom, or soap to wash the dishes in the kitchen, but except for that the room was great.
The bedrooms are great. You have direct access to a small bathroom with a great shower, a sink and a toilet. There's plenty of space in the bedroom for one person (it would be a bit small for two). The kitchen is good, each resident has access to plates, bowls, glasses, a cup and cutlery. People working at the reception are efficient and quick to help you with any problem. There's a direct tube line to the center, but there are plenty of coffeeshops and Tesco around Canvas for a quick coffee, breakfast or dinner.

GermanyThe room does not look like the pictures, its wayy smaller. The description of 22m^2 could be right tho. The room isnt meant for 2 people but for 1 person, which explains the size. You really cant move around. There is 1 set of dishes, one blanket and one set of towels. Tho after asking for more, we did get a second set of everything, besides dishes. The TV didnt work but our second night a maintainence guy came and fixed it. Its also extremely hot and the window doesnt open more than 15 cm. The thermometer in the room said it was 28 degrees, after keeping the windows open 24/7 and borrowing a fan we got the room to somewhat bearable temperatures. One lady at the reception was kind and helpful, one guy was kind but didnt really know anything, so he couldnt help us further and one guy was very rude and unpatient.
Very well connected, a 1 minute walk away from the Victoria line, which quickly takes you to the city. Price compared to other places is good, Tesco for grocery shopping is on the other side of the road and the nights where quite, except for maybe some traffic noise
