The Breakfast was poor, bacon was hard and food luke warm the pastries were small and doughy The spa use was very limited had to pay £15 each just to use the facilities outside these times, I expect to have full use of the spa as a guest, should not pay extra

Only got an hour to use the spa n pool etc, u have to book time slots and pay extra otherwise, don't tell u that when before u have booked. Steam room is tiny aswell

Paying £20 to take our four-legged friend, but being made to feel segregated and isolated when dining. The areas for guests with dogs, were either in the small bar area, where tables were not set for dining, upstairs above the restaurant where no one else was sat ( this was also closed for cleaning when we enquired about other options at breakfast) or the lounge/snug ( which had a wedding party in the first night, so was un available and on the second night, was again empty) The restaurant area was busy and had atmosphere, yet we were unable to sit in there, as we had our very well behaved dog statying with us. I can't understand the logic as the restaurant was a flagged floor, and the areas we were told we could use with a dog were carpeted? Because we were sat in an area not used by most guests who were eating, it was very apparent on the first night that we had been forgotten, our food took a very long time to arrive, and was luke warm.

The peaceful location of the lodges. Perfect for a relaxing break. Watching squirrels play right outside your door was perfect.

The shower was intermittently hot and cold. The outside of the cabin was dirty and there were cracked paving stones leading to the door. The outside areas could be a lot more well kept and attractive.

I have stayed here many times and love the location and peace of the cabins in the trees. I didn’t use the spa this time but looked as if work was being done to extend the facilities. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious and everyone was very helpful and friendly.The bed was very comfortable.

the hotel could have been warmer, the sauna and steam room were in the daytime too lukewarm . One other couple complained about their room being too small and cold.

The park outside is lovely and green. Our room was spacious and clean and comfortable. I felt it was good value for money.

Stayed in bishop suite..very dated felt old could do with updating,carpet even though hoovered felt unclean. No toilet roll and the hot water had to be reported but both was sorted quickly. Heater in living area didn’t work but there was a mobile one in there. I think I payed too much for this stay it would have been better had a breakfast been included.

The breakfast.......used to be so much nicer. Stayed twice here before around 10 years ago........we ordered breakfast and came with items missing. Expensive for what it was. The rooms are now in need of tlc and the bathrooms seriously need updating.

It was a good place to stay being near to the town. Fire nice on arrival. Reception very friendly. Good parking bed comfortable and duvet was cosy. Clean

The TV reception was poor and no instructions were available regarding the TV. However, you could always ring 0 for reception and they were keen to respond

The property was small but big enough for our requirements. Very dog friendly! Kirsty on reception was fantastic and answered all our questions professionally. She is a credit to the management. Food was excellent and all staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The hot tub wasn’t treated during our stay and was turning green and cloudy after the 1st night.Having a hot tub myself they should be treated after each use.

The chalets were dated, very poor sound proofing and could hear every conversation from our neighbours, unfortunately one couple very noisy until 2am

The heating in the Lodges could be better! Putting towel radiators in the bathrooms and larger wall radiators would make a vast improvement, especially in winter months. All we had was an oil filled radiator to heat two rooms! I feel the bed pillows need improving as they were uncomfortable and flat. The indoor pool and hot tub in the spa needed to be a bit warmer! However, we still enjoyed our stay despite the above!

The hotel staff were lovely. The feel of the hotel is warm and welcoming. The location is beautiful. The food was lovely, great breakfast choices. We enjoyed using the spa facilities. We enjoyed our night away at this hotel and definitely plan to return!
