Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaLittle farther outside the areas we visited most. Cab rides required until we got the subway system figured out. To get to the Parliament buildings, Big Ben and Westminster Abby was in walking distance (20 mins.).
Room was a bit small but the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and there were lots of options as it was buffet style. Staff were great, especially Anwar the concierge, who was very helpful to us during our stay. A couple of nice restaurants and a great pub nearby.

United StatesNo really comfortable lobby or bar area if you didn’t want to be in your room for the evening. At breakfast, the coffee machines malfunctioned all four mornings we were there. Very frustrating for guests and staff. Hard to get hot water for tea; one morning, there were no cups or mugs available for at least 15 minutes.
Quiet and great location — near the Tate and Underground. Not heavy foot or car traffic. Concierge staff was exceptional in helpfulness. Liked the “ship’s cabin” feel of the rooms….the streamlined built-ins and decor were very fresh. Also liked how the bathroom facilities were configured. Breakfast buffet was ample and attractive.

United KingdomThe sink in the bedroom did not drain properly. While the staff in the restaurant at dinner were really nice and considerate, breakfast was not at all enjoyable. Although the staff were busy, they were not particularly friendly and didn't offer me a table in a quieter section of the restaurant which would have suited me better.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful The room was very nice and quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were helpful and courteous

United StatesThe room was on the smaller side and oddly laid out. We were able to put one suitcase into the closet on a stand, but I literally had to flip over a chair and use it on its side to hold the other suitcase.
We had a fantastic stay at the Westminster Curio Hilton! From the start, everything was smooth and comfortable. We included breakfast with our booking, which was well worth it—having access to an omelette station and the option for a classic English breakfast each morning was such a nice way to start the day. One small but thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the water bottle fill stations on each floor—super convenient and environmentally conscious. The hotel is also in a great location, exactly a seven-minute walk to the Pimlico Tube station, which made getting around London incredibly easy. We did a bit of walking at night and I always felt safe returning to the hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied with our stay. It’s an excellent location for a reasonable price, and I would definitely stay here again.

CanadaBathroom shower door allowed the water to fall out of the shower, which in turn swelled the flooring and made the shower and entry door stick. No facecloths to wash with.

United KingdomWe were told our room was ready when we arrived and were given the key. It hadn’t, however, been cleaned or bed changed. The new room we were given looked out over offices and car park, rather than the Thames as should have with original room. Breakfast items , plates, cutlery etc ran out very quickly and were slow to be replenished.
Easy location for walking to Westminster and Tate Britain. Friendly staff. We appreciated the water station close to our room.

United KingdomRefreshment tray was nice, but it is the only hotel I've ever stayed in not to provide any biscuits!
The hotel always seemed extremely quiet, although was busy. The room we had (240) was extremely quiet. It didn't have a view, but we were not bothered by that. The breakfast had extremely good choices, with plenty of food which was always being topped-up. If there was something you wanted, you only had to ask. We ate in the restaurant a couple of evenings, which was quite expensive - but we could not fault the food quality. The hotel was in a great location - about 10 minutes walk from Big Ben, Westminster tube station, Westminster Abbey etc. Or 15 minutes in the opposite direction to Victoria.
