Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Excellent stay, we booked this last minute as the place we were originally staying wasn't up to standard. Hosts were super quick at responding and, after I explained the reason for booking, kindly gave us the ability to check in early. 3 spacious bedrooms with a smart TV in each, 1 downstairs and 2 upstairs along with a small downstairs shower / toilet off the main living room and a large bathroom with separate bath and shower upstairs. Living room had a comfy sofa with a large TV and a dining table which would comfortably seat 6. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need for your stay. There were WiFi issues when we arrived at the property but this was through no fault of the hosts and they had already raised the issue with the internet company and were waiting for an engineer to attend and resolve. This stay was with my parents and my 5 year old son and was perfectly located for all the areas we wanted to visit. Will definitely be back if we holiday this way again!

United KingdomI washed up cups and plates before using, having found a cup that looked like it had been someone's favourite for the last year but came out clean with a scrub. Only 4 cups, 5 set dinner plates/breakfast bowl, being a house that comfortably accommodates 6, it would be logical to supply at least that many cups/plates/cutlery etc.
Lovely home with excellent size rooms. Smart TVs in every room. My kids want to move in. 2 laundry tabs available for use, much appreciated, thank you.

The house is in immaculate condition. Done up to a very high standard. Super clean and tidy with everything you need. The kitchen is lovely and the bedrooms are huge with plenty of storage space. Conveniently placed plug sockets for easy charging of phones etc by bedside tables. Each room has a tv. Overall beautiful house.

United KingdomWe had a fantastic weekend stay. It was the perfect location for visiting Alnick Castle and Beamish, being about the same distance from each. The property is beautifully finished and all the bedrooms were very comfortable. Bathrooms are fabulous! The kitchen was lovely too, and plenty of storage/fridge space. The cutlery could do with an update though, as the handles are all very wobbly! The wifi wasn’t working, but this was addressed very quickly once raised (though couldn’t be fixed, unfortunately, as it was a technical fault with the fibre). My only other comment is that the key box is really hard to open, to the point I thought the code didn’t work initially! However, overall, this really is a gem and incredibly good value - we had a great stay and would book again without hesitation. Thanks!
