Tired & shabby in places, including carpet & upholstery. Long hike through the club to my room.

I thought the food ,I had a pie was basic for the price, not enough variety and not presented well enough.

    Breakfast was good.

Restaurant menu did not suit us, it would help if there was a restricted menu at a fair price for people who only eat cereal. Dinner menu could do with a mixed veg inclusion

Easy and efficient booking in, clean room, all private and public rooms were clean and tidy

Thought it was strange the hotel charged £3 to hire robes when you have to walk through the bar and restaurant to get to the spa. It’s the first spa break we haven’t been given complimentary robes in the room. Breakfast was dreadful, run out of plates, no fresh fruit left, run out of cups. Needed more staff on to keep food stocked.

Spa facilities were lovely, room was clean

Hotel felt dated. The food menu was average and expensive for what it was. I ordered mussels and at least a quarter of them arrived closed, so I couldn’t eat them. At £18 a bowl that was literally a pound per mussel! I think they do winter deals but we weren’t offered them so paid full price for the food.

Lovely location. Decent facilities though it all felt very tired and dated and some parts were a bit dirty. Room was average, the bathroom looked like it needed a good clean, but it was mould on the grout. Wouldn’t take much to update.

I paid extra for an upgraded room, two single beds with a view, but was initially given a double bed room and told that there was only one other twin bedded room made up which was round the back with no view. It was disappointing that my amended room request, which was paid for, was not adhered to. The room we had was OK but not what we expected.

    Staff very friendly and helpful.

The setting is beautiful, the spa was fantastic and was very clean and the massage was to die for! All staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and tidy. The best were a little hard and uncomfortable but we had a lovely stay with some lovely weather and relaxation.

Enjoyed our stay. It was our sons birthday and he was really excited about the swimming pool, we were able to swim on Saturday between 4-6pm but on Sunday on his birthday he couldn't swim as there was an issue with the swimming pool. That was very disappointing as that's why we booked this accommodation, mostly for the swimming pool. There were no other facilities that could be used as he is under 16 years old.

There could have been better noise/ acoustic installation. Generally the hotel looked very tired and could do with updating. Beds were uncomfortable and the pillows could be a better quality. Didn’t like having to walk through the middle of the dining area with luggage after booking in to get to rooms.

Location was good, breakfast was good. All staff were excellent and always very helpful, from reception to bar and waiting staff. The walk in shower was superb and having a lift down to the rooms was an asset.

Limited areas to walk the dog. We expected to be able to walk miles in and around the hotel golf courses, but lots of signs limiting access to pathways on the courses.

Nice rural location. Friendly staff and a hearty breakfast.

Long queues at check-in. I had pre-paid, but when my partner checked-in they insisted on taking his credit card details because of the mini bar in the toom. However, there was no mini bar in the room, there wasn't even a fridge.

Stayed here because we wanted to be near Dartmouth.

Our visit was near the end of holiday season and breakfast service and selection was variable.

Plenty of parking, spacious room, lovely bathroom. Hotel was warm, heating in room fully adjustable. Food in restaurant was good even though the evening menu didn’t change at all during our stay (3 nights).

Large group of men, some of whom were drunk and noisy. Credit to staff who tried to quieten them. And also to their friends who apologised for them.

The room could have done with a little updating , but didn’t affect our enjoyment , or nights stay .

Location was ideal for popping into Dartmouth, situated in a quiet area , no noise from traffic , pretty surroundings . Room was plenty big enough for two, large bed ,fresh bedding and towels , plenty of light from the large window . Hand soap in the bathroom , and a bath with shower over . Tea and coffee in room ideal .
