Room was very small. Bathroom floor had water damage obvious. Bed was uncomfortable it did not have a restful sleep

Not obvious from the photos that it is above a pub. You wouldnt describe the area as upmarket. Quite noisy from the road outside and thin walls.

Needed an overnight stop near to Livingston. Location is OK relatively close to the motorway.

The hotel truly needs good decoration, It's very run down... The beds were good but the Hotel was cold.. My TV didn't work, even though the Staff tried to fix it etc... The 1st night hotel room was freezing as was the Temperature outside.. I had to take the bedding from 2nd bed to try and keep warm.. The curtains in the room were a bit shabby, it wouldn't take a lot to smarten to place up... But the Staff are truly lovely.

Booked a deluxe double but got a standard. Deluxe not available, was offered to refund the difference but booked Deluxe to have more room. Nowhere to hang clothes apart from back of door. Tiny room and a 10 inch tv.

The room was very poor. Bedside table dirty and sticky. Very small tv that was unwatchable. Broken hangers on the small rail. Badly cracked basin in the bathroom. Noise from the road close by.

The food was good, breakfast especially, good value for money. Staff friendly and attentive.

The room was quite cold even though I had turned the radiator to the maximum setting however I am guessing that the heating might have been on a timer as it did come on around 5pm on the day of arrival. The room would benefit from being decorated as there were quite a lot of scuff marks on the walls. The table in the room was very small but big enough to accommodate kettle and tea/coffee/sugar packs. The flooring was broken in places and unsightly.

Terrific breakfast in the morning. At night I was coming back from a night out and the night porter was there to let me in as he had been advised of the approximate time. He also brought milk so I could have a cup of tea and did offer food although I declined the offer of food. Very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Very clean room and bathroom.

The room was not the room we booked. The floors were very dirty and there was a noisy air conditioning box right outside the bedroom. We queried the staff as the room was not the same as the one in the photos (even the radiator was in the wrong spot) and they told us it was the same room… we considered leaving and going elsewhere for the night.

The fact that we never saw anyone. It made us feel vulnerable.

The table/ledge where the tea tray was disgusting. Kettle had to be plugged in near the floor. Bath raised up from floor so was very high to try and get over edge to have a shower.

One person was cooking breakfast and serving so we had to wait for our breakfast as a few other table guests ordered the breakfast too. The double room was very small, with a very narrow space to walk around the bed, no wardrobe, and nowhere to hang our coats. A single bed in that room would be more suitable. The hotel needs serious updating as well.

Breakfast was nice, freshly prepared by a nice lady. Spacious parking for guests is a bonus. All staff were polite, helpful, and smiling.

The rooms were much smaller than I expected, the door constantly rattled, and either the walls were thin or the other guests were loud.

The bed was comfortable, the staff were nice and the location was good for the purpose of my visit.
