Lovely property, close to York Minster, excellent staff. Parking not too far away. Would stay again.

Not related to the property itself, but car parking is difficult - no free parking close by, and 24-h parking costs about £25.

Room was good size for a family (3 adults). Water, tea-making facilities and even two bottles of prosecco were waiting for us. Great location, close to the York cathedral. Breakfast was rich, with English and continental breakfast available. Owners very friendly and helpful.

When we were a sleep, a few other guest were coming back and made loads of noise and woke us up. (Again I know its not the staff flaut) But again they signs up everywhere saying be quite to our other guests. Apart from that, no complains. They gone up and beyond.

The room was lovely and clean and the staff couldn't have ask for more. My son injured his leg a few days before so is in a moonboot and the staff were so nice. I ask for an ice pack and no questions ask I got one and when he needed a new one again, no questions ask just swoop them. It's like a 10 minute walk(maybe faster with out moonboot) into center and you have a local Sainsbury's just 1 minute walk end of the street if you want snacks. After you check out if your not leaving for a few hours, the staff keep your bags and watch them for you. The staff are all lovely and just couldn't be more helpful.

My only niggle was the lighting in the room which was either the bright main light or two tiny reading lights. It would be good to have a lamp of some sort.

Perfectly located for exploring York and only a couple of minutes from the Minster, so easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable with soft, cosy bedding. The staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

Several short flights of steps from the front door back to our building - difficult to lug our heavy suitcase. Ok, that's reaching; there really wasn't anything not to like.

Convenient location - 15 min walk from train station, 5 minute walk to medieval town. Spotless and comfortable; room was larger than expected. We opted for the continental breakfast; because there were no pastries, they made scrambled eggs for us. Staff were extremely responsive and engaging - very willing to accommodate our needs.

The water pressure could be better and the check out time of 10:00 is earlier than likely ideal for some guests.

Brilliant location, comfortable bed, lovely high ceilings! Well stocked tea/coffee station. Good communication with fast responses upon making an enquiry. Made to feel welcome upon arrival, would happily stay again!

Perfectly located, nice and quiet despite being in the city center, with everything you could need. The beds were wonderfully comfortable as well, and there was even complimentary prosecco! Value for money was quite decent as well. Highly recommended!

There wasn't a fridge in the room . We struggled on the very winding steps. It would have been helpful to have been warned on the booking. Com page . So we could have asked fir a downstairs room.

Weirdly, no kettle with cups, tea/coffee. That said, what the room loses in warm beverages, it makes up for with champagne glasses and a mini bottle of fizzy wine!

Second time we’ve came and stayed here - York has become our romantic city break (we’re in Bridlington) They’re accommodating and perfect for somwhere to sleep and be cosy it’s also very quiet - staff are always smiling - we’re usually up and out by 10am and can be back out again for evening till 11pm+ and never had an issue at all - we asked if we could have the same room this year as last and we’re offered it without extra charge since we are returning customers - everything is around 10/15 minute walking distance but so many shops and things tonsee I don’t even feel the walk we did 17 miles in 2 days just walking around the city - we will be back again hopfully later this year if not see you in 2026!:)
