Couple of snags in the room. The plug in the sink was not connected properly so the sink did not hold water for shaving etc. The double glazed window was very difficult to close to cut out external noise.

The room was cold - central heating was timed- hotel left a heater to take the chill off but was cold during to early hours.

Advertised itself as dog friendly but we thought it was more dog acceptance as we felt ostracised from the rest of the guests. There was a winding staircase to get to our room (9) which we found difficult and a little dangerous.

The only downsides were the bed and pillows. I didn't sleep so well as the pillow was hard and the mattress sloped towards the middle. Everything else was great though.

Staff were amazing. Friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect. We were visiting High Park cemetery in Lennoxtown and friends in Kirkintilloch. Breakfast was wonderful, great parking facilities too.

The bathroom really needed a thorough cleaning. The shower curtain, mat and wall corners had mildew growing on them.

Th staff was friendly and gave us ideas of nearby things to do. The bed was super comfortable!

Bathroom wasn't clean and the towel rail was that hot that I got a nasty burn . The bed was terribly uncomfortable

Vertical blind on window of bedroom needs replacing. Door window should be frosted for privacy as it is a ground floor outside door. Appeared to be a sunken area of floor in front of the armchair. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath but electric shower over it extremely weak and cut out completely multiple times. Lacks a really good shelf for your things. A very minor thing.

Really excellent food and lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had a family dinner there for 8 the first night and that was superb. Very well kept property. Spotless everywhere.

The bedroom window had blinds missing which was a bit annoying as to have privacy you had to close the curtain which made the room dark. The radiator was behind the main curtain so you had to fold a full length curtain to sit on top of the radiator. There was no mat to wipe your feet on when you entered the room directly from outside which felt a bit dirty. The bath towels were very small .

The staff were very friendly and it was a clean comfortable hotel. The food was very nice and the main lounge was very cosy with a nice fire and decor. The breakfast was lovely and had all you could want. For our purposes the hotel was ideally situated. The bed was very comfortable. The rate for the room was very fair. Couple of niggles with the room which should be easy to fix.
