The reason for traveling and staying at York was 2 appointments to attend. One was changed at short notice and I called to ask for letting us into the flat about 1 hour earlier on a short notice [the day before]. Unfortunately, the receptionist declined and behaved rather unprofessional, even hanging up the phone on me. However, within minutes a manager/owner called me back, apologised and all was arranged.

A beautifully presented 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment. Everything was nice, neat and clean. The quirkiness of the little building was preserved nicely and gave it a really nice and cosy atmosphere. All appliances, heating, shower and toilets worked to our complete satisfaction. The location was great, just next to one of the gates into the city centre. The public, paid carpark was absolutely fine and not expensive at all. It's only a 2 minute walk from the apartment.

I used the sofa bed and the blinds against the window were no use at all - the room was in full daylight by 5am. The suggested parking was also extortionate and we found much cheaper at the shambles

for such a well provided kitchen more cutlery / mugs/plates would have been helpfull; same for bathroom and towels

The bodylotion ;-) Friendly host; And there was a locked in place to store our bikes! And you only have to climb the stairs of Monk's gate nextdoor for a wonderfull morning- or evening walk over the walls with views on York Minster.....

Oven had been missed by the cleaners and rubbish in the bin. But everything else was OK.

The location is great , rooms clean , check the photos are of the apartment you are booking as there are different options , but only seem to have the photos of the best apartment on .

Probably not insulated as well as some buildings but considering the age it is amazing and a great value.

Location was great, central and full of character. Everything was within easy reach, some lovely restaurants and shops as soon as you come out and the actual building dates from the 14th century!

The bed in the bedroom was very soft, the futon beds were much were much more comfortable.

Location is fab...right by the Goodramgate easy acess to the wall and so close to everything!!! Perfect apartment with everything we needed...even teabags, sugar and milk!

We weren't left enough toilet paper or any extra rolls and at night we ran out of toilet rolls. They dropped extra off the next morning, but it was really inconvenient. All the stores were closed because it was later at night so we couldn't buy any either.

Only one thing. Could have done with some trays for the oven. We couldn’t find any. Although we made do and we might just have missed them.

The spare beds ie the roll out single ones were not sofa beds. They were single arm chaits that were very uncomfortable. Not very well described when catering for more than the bedrooms could cater for.

The shower was difficult to get the temp right, it was always far too hot! Not enough plates, mugs and cutlery, only one saucepan, felt it was a bit pointless having a dishwasher when only providing 2 of everything. The cover wasn't the right size for the duvet. .

The location is amazing, it's perfect for strolling through town, just a few minutes from York Minster.

The main bed was very comfy but the bed settee is not the most comfortable. Our stay was for one night, it wouldn't really be suitable for longer stays.

No real downsides except parking. Was a long stay available across the road was added a bit in costs.

Nice apartment, good location. Size was good, two big beds, shame one of the mattresses was awful. Kitchen nicely done, well equipped. Living room decent. Bathroom was nice with a walk in shower.
