Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaOur room was small and pokey,. A window looking on to walls. Nowhere to sit except on the bed. The bathroom was poorly designed so water splashed on the floor during a shower because of an inadequate glass shower " screen".
The hotel is handsome and the public rooms are spacious and attractively decorated. The floral arrangement in the hall was lovely.

JamaicaThe room we stayed in was quite tatty, wallpaper lifting in obvious places, screws showing in walls, holes, poor lighting, some spotlights did not work at all. Furniture was a bit battered and basic. Whilst the shower in bath was good, there was no real shower screen or curtain which meant the water went everywhere so not great. No loo brush. No water, slippers or robes in room as advertised, was brought by housekeeping. One member of staff, the lady in charge at breakfast was quite rude and abrupt to guests. She spoke very loudly and directly, "wait there please" "wait to be seated" and whilst this is fine, she didn't smile, it was more like an order, it was loud and the whole dining room was silent so everyone looked, it was the same for everyone entering the dining room. She was not present to welcome guests and seat them, she was running around so would shout from a distance to those who figured to seat themselves ( we assumed this) but she insisted on directing us to a table. It would be an idea to have someone remaining at the door to greet guests and seat them, instead of a stressed woman shouting from across the room. It would also be fine to have tea and coffee available for guests to help themselves, everything else is self service and we found ourselves asking 3 separate members of staff and waiting almost 15 minutes for coffee to come in a little pot and had to then ask for more. Otherwise it was very good.
The building is stunning, real wow walking in to reception with its original character features, fireplaces, beautiful stained glass windows and grand staircases. Very Grand and elegant. Breakfast was also very good, nice selection of hot and cold food, fresh fruits and pastries. Shower had good water pressure. Rooms basic but met our needs of an overnight stay and breakfast for our visit to a concert at The Royal Albert Hall, proximity to this and the lovely park was great. Shops and food places nearby too. Wine, fruit and chocolates in room as a welcome, nice touch.

United KingdomThe room was a bit smaller than I might have expected for two people. People that are, how should I say, on the larger side could struggle to get into the shower cubicle, it was quite small. I have long legs and had to sit on the toilet at an angle to use it, but it did make me giggle.
The hotel was perfectly situated for the nearest tube and in a nice location. I was there on my own and it suited my needs absolutely perfectly. There was a funny little extra bit next to where the bed was which is where I dumped my luggage, this was handy because it would have been a bit cramped otherwise.

United Kingdomstaff seemed a little unhelpful at times. Also all the reception staff seemed unhappy not a smile between them all. We had a 2 night stay and the evening of our 2nd night I booked in at reception for breakfast next day. I had read in the hotel booklet located in the room it was £12 per breakfast if booked day before. (This price was also located in cabinet in reception ), when we came down for breakfast we weren't on the list. but they accommodated us anyway, but told me to speak to reception. When we went to check out and pay they told me price of breakfast was £15 even though I showed them the price in their booklet and told them I had booked with the gentleman last night at reception. The gentleman then said it wasn't written down anywhere and I hadn't booked in!! He then said that was an old price and they don't do that any more and charged me £30. I suggested that they need to update their booklet and price in the reception area. If they advertise an amount they should honor this. This to me gave a bad last impression. Room was extremely small and curtain let in loads of light at the sides it was also stained and dirty. Bathroom lovely albeit very small however only a very small shower screen so when showering, water covered bathroom floor no matter how you showered.
location was great, hotel ornate and interesting

CanadaRoom was too small however I believe that was more a fault of booking.com as the hotel listed the room as for a single person, not for two people. Morning staff weren’t helpful as we had to re-order extra sheets and towels with the night staff even though we told the maid in the morning.
Excellent location. Evening front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding.

Czech RepublicThe staff appeared somewhat disorganized; I had to make multiple requests—four in total—for the removal of an ironing board that was taking up significant space in an already compact room. While the room was quite small, I personally did not find this to be an issue. However, the windows faced a busy main road and were neither soundproof nor insulated against drafts. I could feel a noticeable breeze when lying near the window.
The hotel is conveniently located near Hyde Park, offering a safe environment with excellent access to public transportation. It features classic British Victorian architecture, with a particularly beautiful main hall. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary breakfast in celebration of my birthday, which added a thoughtful touch to my stay
