Difficulty entering the building using the code system, very temperamental. Breakfast prices, appeared higher than expected, £10 pound.

Run down, clientele are a little worrying, they charge for the carpark now too. There is way better in the area.

Some of the members of staff were very unfriendly. I stated coming to this hotel just when it was just opened. I have been a regular custor ever since. Last February I had a shock of my life. I booked for two night to start with. The lady gave a room with no heating and a hard mattress. When I complained the next day, I was told off. After an argument, she changed her mind and allocated a different room opposite door. Two men had ussed it and had left. Because she had a grudge, unskrewed the handle of the door so that I couldn't lock the door. Bedlinen was not changed, the bathroom was not cleaned, no toilet paper and no towels. When I told her I was not going to use the same dirty bedsheets, she took an iron and started ironing the bedsheets while on already on the bed. I phoned the manager who didn't belive even after sending him the picture of the door. I had no other place to go. I spent a night sitting in the chair and I left the following day. Again I was there in March. A wise person never says NEVER.

In need of a lot of TLC. Very dark carpark. Staff wearnt the easiest to communicate with. Rooms were good size, but not clean. Rads had stat u Issues. Windows very old, and not the best for heat / noise retention. Double bed in 1 room was unusable as it dipped massively in the middle!

To find at 10.30pm there was only 1 bath towel for 2 guests. Also no hairdryer in room when stated all rooms have these.

Heating went off before 9pm cold at night. Being woke up at 4am nearly every morning due to other customers making noise outside my room unable to get back to sleep!

Hotel says free on site parking, no reservation needed. I parked in car park booked into reception only to be told it will be £10 per night to park my car. I told staff the website says free parking only be told if I don't pay the fee I will be fined. As location is very residential with permit parking you have to pay.

The bed was so uncomfortable in that you could feel the springs in the mattress and which contributed to a very poor nights sleep. The sheet was also far too small for the bed and which came adrift in the night.

No staff present on arrival. Waited 20mins before someone arrived,to be fair,she was very apologetic. TV didn't work.

The building and rooms are dated. The shower wasn’t working properly and it’s pretty basic accommodation. The staff told us that they’d overbooked and we couldn’t stay. We kicked up a bit and they moved things around so we got the triple room we’d originally booked eventually.

Compared to the room that I stayed in last time, room 5 is well over due for an overhaul with wires trailing from the wall, a rusty towel rail and dim lighting.

Stayed here previously as it’s close to the town centre, reasonably priced and more importantly close to the where my extended family live. It’s warm and clean.
