Nice view. Poor attitude of staff, inefficient, unfair prices for breakfasts and expensive prices for snacks/ meals. Definitely a money - making hotel with don’t care attitudes about the guests. Tried to charge us firbreakfasts we did not have and £10 charge for checking out later than 10. ( which IS early for a hotel). Breakfast nice venue but very average/ poor for the price. Not as good as a Premier Inn. Thought they were definitely up themselves re attitude.

Room was not serviced until about 7pm. We had expected clean mugs etc. on our return from our day out. Unfortunately we could hear the shower from above dripping from about 6am!

Room was spacious and overlooked the canal.

Too short staffed, especially in the bar. Had to que at the bar all evening as only 1 person serving, whilst staff came from the restaurant and served diners. The curtains and ceiling were covered in cobwebs. The corners of the shower were black with dirt and mould. The toilets in the communal area were filthy and covered in wee throughout the whole day, and the bin was over flowing with paper towels all over the floor.

The location was great. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Room was small and hard to find. The weather was very warm but the radiator was on, and impossible to turn off. We had to sleep with the window open as it was so hot, which meant it was noisy. Had 2 small glasses of wine at the bar- £17.50!

Great location, rooftop bar area and restaurant overlooking the canal.

Had to wait whilst staff loading/clearing glasses before I got served. Bar wasn’t busy. Cider not that cold and flat. Mould round window. Bin hadn’t been emptied. Restaurant very slow for evening. I finished my meal and waited at least 20 mins to get plates cleared/ offered desserts, this didn’t happen.

    Decent size rooms, good location

Deluxe window difficult to open and close and gave no view from room. Whole building was uncomfortably warm. Room too warm. Opening window created noise from traffic. Reception offered a fan, but I would prefer cooler room. Breakfast expensive.

Convenient location with nice canal side walk into town. Lovely big room with nice bath area and chairs.

Parking space needs to be wider. My wife couldn't get into the car because of the parking space, being narrow.

Room 111 smelt of rotton eggs in the bathroom. There was a pipe coming from the sink into the ground and there was tissue stuffed around the pipe surrounding it. There were splash marks on the walls. A cup/plastic glass n the bathroom had toothpaste in the bottom of it. The extractor in the bathroom was very noisy. Mould around the bathroom.

Good selection of tea and biscuits in the room. Very spacious. Staff were very friendly. Good parking.

Nothing I did not like about the hotel.

Lovely comfortable room with everything you needed. Very nice dining room overlooking the Canal. Food good. The grandchildren especially enjoyed the swimming pool. Pleasant ambience in the hotel all round with helpful polite and friendly staff. James the manager was very charming and welcoming.
