United Kingdomthe rooms were lovely however our room had a broken lock so everytime we wanted access to the room we had to go to reception to get someone too let us in. ordered room service but never arrived and still got billed for it in the morning. was promised a discount for the inconvenience of the lock being broken wasn’t a problem was only a stop gave between mountain hikes. so was only sleeping so locked the door but having to go downstairs after an hour of waiting for room service then having them have to come up anyway to let us back in the room

United KingdomThe Hotel key didnt work so we had to ask someone to unlock the door. The room heating wasn't working efficiently so the room was a little cold, and the housekeeping had left old used towels in the shower.
We were travelling to Scotland and the hotel was a convenient stop right next to the motorway.

IrelandThe dining area was farcical. There was sign saying wait to be seated, so I waited as 3 staff members ignored me while going in and out to the kitchen. Eventually I asked if I could sit at one of the empty tables, one of them said that was no problem, then they continued to ignore me. Eventually I got up and asked if dinner was still being served, one of them says to go to the app. I look again at the table and there is a small QR code in the corner which is supposed to be used for ordering. If they are going to ignore people then why is there a big sign saying "wait to be seated"? Why do they think I knew about the stupid app before I got to their hotel, so that it didn't need to be clear and visible to customers? What sort of hotel uses those stupid apps now anyway? To make things even better, the food was crazy expensive, and they brought me a bill despite me already having paid for the food through their stupid app in the first place. I went elsewhere for dinner for the rest of my stay in Warrington.
The room was clean and quiet, if a little old and ragged. The reception staff were friendly.

United KingdomThe room was really cold. It was the last one in a corridor. The corridor itself was warm but the room was cold and altering the thermostat did not make any difference. We (and also at least one other guest) complained about it in the morning and the management felt that it was because one of the boilers had failed overnight but, of course, it was already too late by that time.

United KingdomI stopped using this hotel some years ago when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (false alarm). Then I used it again in July 2022 - OK, then on 11/01/2023, the fire alarm went off at 1am (false alarm again). What are the odds? I think they have a problem here. They have a system of bringing coffee to the breakfast table and i asked twice but it never came.
The room is clean and tidy. Parking is all around the hotel

United KingdomThe We stayed in an accessible room and it was freezing. The heater in the very large bathroom didn’t work…there was a bath with a shower over it and there could easily have been both a shower and a walk-in shower. The room is in desperate need of updating.
location is great with plenty of parking. Good quality breakfast and the staff were fantastic. They really tried their best to improve our stay.

United KingdomBit of confusion with my room. Had somebody walk into my room later in the evening following check in. Apparently they'd been assigned the same room. My card was then locked out. When I went to reception to reception then later, a kind lady at reception sorted it out and gave me a voucher for a free drink. Went for dinner, sign said wait to be seated. Lady told me to go on ahead and sit down which I did. I then waited to be passed by the waiter a number of times. Raised hand to grab attention and asked for a menu to be served. Then confusion around room number again and couldn't put dinner on my room - this all dealt with in the course of me eating - could have been timed better than to interrupt food. At the till then, produced the voucher for the free drink. The guy said he'd take it off the bill so I asked him for a receipt. Said he couldn't give me one and that he'd have to email it. Checked the email receipt at a later date and see that service charge had been added to the invoice without question or without it ever been brought to my attention. Thought that was slightly cheeky. Probably wouldn't have had an issue with giving a tip but slightly presumptuous just to take it without question.

United Kingdomnoisy heating all night. no main light in the bedroom just lamps so very dark. no tea or coffee in the rooms. Was told to wait half hour to come back for evening meal to then be told there would be a 45 min wait for food when no one else was actually eating food at the time! we had a 10am breakfast slot. All the eggs had gone and was told not doing anymore eggs due to runny out! Last slot for breakfast is 10:30am, by then none of the juices were full, no milk for tea and coffee, 3/4 of tables full of dirty dishes, staff very unhelpful.
