I thought my room would be cleaned each day and a fresh supply of coffee/milk biscuits each day but this was not the case.

The accommodation is basic as I expected.

The facility is old, and needs a lot of maintenance. Our toilet didn’t flush properly, the lamps worked intermittently, the carpet was dirty.

The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful.

Bathroom had no extractor fan so could have issues with condensation, smell etc. Breakfast was very average for the price (£12.50 per head I think it was.) Was plentiful being a buffet but the quality was not that good as the taste did not feel freshly done. A good price point in my opinion would be £6.50 max.)

Location, nice sized room with comfortable beds/mattresses & clean sheets. Had kettle in the room, enough tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Large onsite car park. Bathroom was of a good size.

The outside of the hotel very dated and the car park needs redoing gave a bad first impression but inside not too bad apart from the fact that dogs are allowed which is a plus for some but one did pee on the doormat as we were leaving one night which made me think how often does that happen and does it get properly cleaned and disinfected

Booking and check in/ out easy. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Bed was in, needs more pillows. Room nice and clean, well presented. Not sure about sliding window blinds, prefer curtains. Breakfast: food was average, staff and service excellent.

I did not see the notice telling me my room would not be serviced during my stay. After 2 night I pointed this out because my cup needed cleaning and I had no milk.yea or sugar. They did Chang cup and pointed out notice and where I could get teabags milk and sugar. The bath was not very clean under the tap.

The hotel itself was very nice charge time. But when I tried to book it, it was ninety pound i chose to pay when I got to site but it changed to a hundred and one ? Then coming in there was a lot of strange foreign people hanging out sitting out in the cold weather, not making sense i was wondering if they were illegal immigrants staying there as you hear this, so often nowadays hotels putting up people coming over on the boats i admit the hotel was not busy. So the breakfast buffet wasn't on we had to order mother's room air-con and heating unit in Room 30 would not let us put it to colder air blowing like it was in my room.So she did not get a good sleep due to it being too hot for her

Bed a bit small and everytime I moved in bed heard board woke me .but stayed quite a lot of times and it's definitely changed and lots cleaner for the better .lovely stay :)

This is the first time I’ve not been able to have a good nights sleep The mattress on the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on I stay here at least twice a year and have never had this problem before

Little sound-proofing between rooms - there was a lot of 'noise' from guests during the Saturday night making it difficult to get much sleep. I was told this happens regularly on Friday and Saturday nights! For this reason I wouldn't stay over a weekend but would stay again on a week night as convenient location.

The hotel was good for the purpose that I booked it for (base to stay whilst fixing up daughter's new house). Room was pleasant and bed comfortable. Staff were friendly.
