It was fifficult to find as all the properties along the road are of similar style and the sign is impossible to read in the dark. The reception person said the hotel was under maintenence, a strong smell of new paint which would have been a problem for some people, the room had no heat and the bath area was clearly still being renovated and redecorated

I was able to book at last minute and no problem car parking, bed was comfortable and they provided a microwave, plates and cutlery

The door in my room did not lock from the inside. I had messaged the owner many times, and left 2 voice mails, but no-one called or responded to my concern. I had to secure the door with a chair in the end, as I'm a lone female, so I was very scarred. Also I thought I had a cooker in my room from the pictures, but just a microwave, and fridge - very disappointed as I brought food from home that needed to be cooked, so this went in the bin - what a waste!

The owner's response to negative feedback is shocking! Clearly not professional enough to accept criticism. "Room with a view" yeah, a view of a graveyard! The outside of the guest house put me off, looks a bit run down. The bed was really creaky and we only had one pillow each. The road was quite busy outside which meant it was hard to sleep. There was a "reception" under the stairs with no one there, just a pair of dirty sliders. A face to face "welcome" would have been the least you could do? Don't worry we won't be back no need to ban us like you have others!!

The room itself was better than expected after reading reviews. Had an en suite and kitchen area which was useful. The stay itself was okay but we decided to stay elsewhere the 2nd night. We left our room spotless as it was when we arrived.

It was insanely loud from upstairs until pass midnight. People kept talking above us non stop very loudly

A stale smell throughout the building and in my room suggested that the cleanliness was not very good. Overall the place showed that the owners did not put much effort in looking after it. No staff around during my stay - entry was by a key to be collected from a box outside so I cannot comment on the staff or owners. Very basic guest house.

The heating was not on and it was extremely cold in the room. Also, the toilet seat was detached and the shower was stuck on maximum heat

So I did see a lot of comments about cleanliness, I can see why (evidently not vacuumed after every visit) but the bed, and toiletries were very clean and that's what I care about.

Room suited my needs very well, check in was easy and so was check out which was especially important because I had to leave early. Staff were very lovely and helpful.

The kitchen was too small to cook anything. There was no place to sit and work. The room was quite old and it could be felt in the condition. The heating was not enough to keep the room warm despite a cold weather.

The place was well located right opposite a bus stop with good connections to Central Oxford

No staff on premises, it appeared that there was only 1 bathroom and toilet shared by everyone. Despite saying there is free wifi there is no details so none available. It says rooms sound proofed but they are not. The house could do with a refresh to match the rooms. The house is on a main road which light sleepers should be aware of

The single room was clean and comfortable, there was a kitchenette including a fridge freezer and microwave, tea and coffee and a TV. The single bed was comfortable and bedding and towels clean. The door was lockable with the key which was very reassuring as a single traveler in a full house.

Flooring was old and was coming out in certain places stuck with tape. But very run down property. No interaction with the host. Location was a bit out of the way

Very large 2 bedroom apartment. Kitchen was under equipped but functional. . However the beds were comfortable and the apartment was really big and more than met our expectations.

Rooms smelly and tiny (3 bed room no space for clothes, 2 bed room had a closet) longer stay could have been complicated

Two rooms on same floor, one led to a spacious garden which could use a little more love, each room with bathroom, old but well cleaned, parking available in front of guest house, friendly staff, rooms equipped with water boiler, fridge and necessities to make tea and coffee.
