Overall loved our stay and was perfect for what we needed.

All very minor details but feel they add to the over cleanliness feeling of the property: - no tea towels provided - in bunk bed room we noticed a brown stain on the carpet near the bottom bed with an unpleasant smell - think it had been cleaned before but was lingering - no bins in the bathrooms

The location was absolutely perfect for the wedding we were attending at Danby castle barn. Lovely and cosy with good social space. Kindly provided a travel cot and high chair which was greatly appreciated. Regular / quick messages from the host through booking.com and clear instructions throughout the property.

Strong smell of soot, which was a problem as I have asthma, no bins in bathrooms, very dusty in places

Our stay was too short. Track to house might put off people with very smart or sports cars.

Great location. Comfortable and spacious house. Good qualities linen. Excellent WiFi. Dog friendly. Lots of books and games.

Good place for a peaceful, scenic and basic rustic get away stay

The living room, dining room and the bedrooms are basic and rustic in appearance and quality of furniture, which is not what we expected. Reported a problem about the lack of hot water from the kitchen tap but heard nothing back. The driveway vegetation needs cutting back. Neither logs nor kindling provided to light the wood burner, (only between Nov and March).

Details from the hosts was plentiful and informative and getting entry was really easy. The location was perfect in terms of the views and if you want peace and quiet. The Kitchen was modern with good equipment. Bathrooms were modern and clean. Good size living rooms. Great idea of a sensor light switch at the top of the stairs.

Nothing but co-ordinates are wrong and location of 42 on goggle maps is wrong! Make sure you read the directions with regard the location of the car park/lookout on the left before entering Danby coming from the north.

Only downside was a few low points in the ceiling which caught out the taller members of our group

    Beautiful spot, lovely cottage.

WiFi was very intermittent and at multiple times just would not work leaving us with no signal as it was as very remote. Many of the contacts in the book were out of date. Initially we were told the admin fee for the deposit would be refunded as there was no mention of it in the booking. This has since changed but they would not honour the refund of the admin fee even though they said they would. Overall the person we messaged to here rude and left a bad taste in our mouth to what could have been a lovely stay as the house was lovely.

    Beautiful scenery and lovely house.
