Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMy room number eight in 67 didn’t have a table or a chair so I had to sit on the bed with my laptop, which is not ideal!
It had a really comfy bed. My room was at the back of the property so there was no street noise which was perfect. Wi-Fi was okay. My booking wasn’t showing on the system, but the staff member worked through it with me and got me into my room as soon as possible. it was clean. great location in Hammersmith near lots of shops and eateries plenty of public transport to get around!

United KingdomThe sink in the bathroom was TINY! You couldn't use it without water getting everywhre. There were no shelves to put anything in the bathroom or anywhere to hang towels. The room could do with at least a mini fridge (it doesnt have to be stackd) but at lease somewhere to keep a drink cool.
Transport was good, bus stop immidiately outside hotel to get to hospital, shops etc.. The room was clean and nice and bright, we were also offered room service on the second day. The shower space was good and the shower worked well.

IrelandThe person who did the room service left the windows open and the central heater was off when I came back to the room. Was freezing cold in Dec. And the staff didn’t care. I booked this room over other hotels for the sole purpose of getting warm inside. (Heating system).
The bed was comfy

SwedenAll good for the price and location.
The property is under renovation, but that didn’t detract from my experience. You get quite a lot for a 2 star hotel - I had a good size room with a queen bed, a new and very clean bathroom, very comfy bed, a fridge and a window overlooking the courtyard. The room itself was tired, but totally functional. Very lovely staff when I asked for some extras they helped with a big smile.

United KingdomNoise from the people in the room next door was not great - luckily the first few nights of my stay I had considerate neighbours but the last night sadly wasn’t the same ( I was on the top floor). The shower literally hangs from the ceiling in the shower cubicle so if you don’t want to get your hair wet you need to squidge yourself in the far corner before you turn it on One pillow was a nightmare both for sleeping on and propping myself up to watch the small TV
Great location - close to my daughter’s uni accommodation and not far to central London. I felt secure and safe even though I was in one of the hotels many ‘other’ buildings ( a few doors down from the main hotel) A fridge in the room was absolutely lovely. A hand towel would have been nice but the small bath /shower towel doubled up as a hand and bath/shower towel. My room bins was emptied daily ( 3 night stay) and a clean bath/shower towel laid out - however I would have liked to have had the opportunity to opt for a dont need my room cleaned/unnecessary washing doing. One toilet roll is all you get - despite a new towel arriving on your bed daily so you need to consider this.

United KingdomWe were in a room in the front of the property and the road noise contributed to poor sleep, the windows (looked new) were drafty. Issue with the shower hot water on 2nd/3rd days when there appeared to be a problem with power which caused the temperature and pressure to be hard to control - we were able to have a shower, but could have been better experience
Room pleasant and adequate for our stay Room serviced each day while we were out Breakfast was included in the booking costs, breakfast room and staff were pleasant and attentive

NetherlandsTwo minor things that aren’t the fault of the hotel itself, the first of which is temporary: 1) The outside of the building is being renovated, making it look messy at first sight, but once inside you’d never notice nor hear it, so no problem. 2) A thing typical for London: street parking is expensive (4.25 pound per hour from 9:00-18:00, free outside those hours and free on weekends too). Again, not the fault of the hotel, simply reality when visiting London, but good to factor in when making budget estimates and coming by car.
Good location with shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a bus stop in front and close to Hammersmith Station (though we mostly used the rental car). The room was just fine to us, it has all we needed: comfy beds, good working shower etc, a small fridge, watercooker, a table and a dining chair and small TV. Housekeeping is done daily and everything was well clean. Staff was kind and when we asked for some things they provided them (extra pillows, extra toilet paper, extra coffee sachets, extra keycard). We are well satisfied and would return there again if we go to London again.

United StatesCarpet has seen better days.
Spartan, no fuss, functional and clean place to stay if your priority is economizing your London visit. My room was at the back of the building and very quiet. All I wanted was a clean and comfortable bed and my own bathroom, and this place served my purpose just fine. Bonus - nice neighborhood, good selection of low-key restaurants, and close to good Tube stations.

FranceFor just B&B option it was ok, but mind the absence of any chair, table, whole size mirror (only the one in the bathroom). The hotel is in reparations and painting smell everywhere. Personnel not professional: either too nervous, or allows oneself to enter the room after knocking the door without even waiting for a response, which is unacceptable! If your house keepers are like this -then at least provide the labels 'Don't disturb' to hang on the door. Just one towel provided. No lift. Bad sound insulation
Good location close to metro and shops/restaurants around. Apparently the rooms have been recently renovated but the quality of work is not the best. Fridge in the room. It was warm in the room.
