Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had to catch a 04:45 coach so went to bed early. Close to the hostel must have been some kind of night club. As it was a lovely warm evening there was a lot of music and chatter from that until 02:00 even though we were there mid week.
We were catching an early morning National Express coach to Luton airport. Igloo is a 5 min walk to the bus station. It is close to the town square and Whetherspoons. The staff are lovely and we liked the themed rooms. Has a lovely vibe and felt safe. We put our packed lunch in the kitchen fridge which felt friendly and people were chatting and preparing meals.

The private bathroom facilities were a little way from the room - down a flight of stairs.
Very friendly helpful staff. Great location in the heart of the city - excellent value for money! All essentials - comfy bed, clean spacious room, nice shower were provided.

Being deep in the City (and associated noises) would not be everyones ideal accomodation but too be honest, while it's noticeable it didn't seem to bother us loads. We slept well for example.
Our room was exactly what we paid for. Cheap but super cute, clean and comfy. The staff were all really helpful, knowledgeable and generally friendly. Free tea and coffee to boot!

The only improvement would have been to have some freezer space available. There was no freezer at all.
A very warm welcome on arrival and helpful information. Room was very clean - it was also very warm and a fan had been provided which we didn't actually need but was very thoughtful.

There wasn't anything I disliked
I travelled from Liverpool to see chase and status and was tired when I arrived was looked after and showed to my room Staff was very helpful.Told us the rules and how the place worked rules wise etc.Explained to me where best place to go for a coffee on way home.Place was very tidy and clean

Not much - bed / mattress suffered some ‘roll together’ but not a major problem.
Location is superb - right in the centre of Nottingham, 2 mins to the market square, 5 mins walk to Rock City. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful but unobtrusive- which is a plus for me. Rooms were basic but cheerful, everything you need but not luxurious. Bathroom was small but functional and water was piping hot. Price was exceptionally good.

Recommended for travellers for a short stay. I spent one night there, and everything was good. The location is central, the 6-bed dorm room was clean, as were the toilet and shower. A towel for the shower was provided upon request.

The windows could use blinds as the light from outside is very bright and shines through.
We love this little place, the location is perfect for us, staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but if all you need is a bed for the night. For the price, it's great!

There were no drawers or shelves! Kept most of my clothes on the table because there were only three wall hooks for hanging coats and shirts. Bierkeller is noisy during the nights at the end of the week.
Spent four nights in The Boat ensuite double room as a single traveller. Room was clean with hot shower. Staff were polite and helpful. The communal kitchen seemed organized and hygienic. Strong WiFi available on the ground floor. Freeview TV with strong signal.

I liked the friendly welcome. I was shown around the property and was shown a lovely communal space which I didn't expect. My room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was spotless and comfortable
