Room required serious upgrade. All plugs on one wall away from drawing table and mirrors. Furniture complete mismatch and in poor condition.. Bathroom at skirting level needs refreshing as does the sealant as mould is present. No staff in the mornings if problems arise and no staff on checking out. Emergency numbers not answered when rung. Breakfast not included as advertised - only dependant and honoured on when booking was made due to management changes. This needs to be changed immediately on all the appropriate websites! No allergies or dietary requirements checked with breakfast that was supplied as dairy intolerance is an issue for us.

The pub itself was lovely and the location was excellent

The room was not level as dates old building, which I loved. The bed was comfortable and en-suite clean! Disliked- the Tassimo machine had no tea making pod (that was missing). In the middle of the night (2:30am) the fire alarm was set off I was half way down when it switched off and another visitor said it was a false alarm. No staff in sight to tell me that! In the morning, although I was told staff would be around near the bar area, I found no one. Place was locked up so it was drop the key and go business. As a solo traveller, alarms going off at night and no staff to reassure, is bad!

Parked in the car park and give registration of my car on arrival but had a parking ticket !!! You've got the hassle of sorting it out then it's not what you want when you've been away and parked legally. All sorted now but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Nice cosy room, staff really friendly.

Unfortunately one of our rooms was not cleaned when we arrived in the evening even though we had been given the key to the room. They had a party to celebrate their first birthday and the noise traveled right up to the top floor disturbing my elderly parents until late in the night.

Great location and really lovely cosy pub/hotel friendly and helpful staff

The carpet in the room had not been hoovered for a few days, the bed was rather lumpy and the sink was far too small to wash even your hands in. The shower door was broken.

The room was nice and quiet, small and very friendly staff. Location excellent for Bicester.

My room was quite cold and whilst I like a cool room it was freezing outside. The window was open on arrival which probably didn’t help … maybe if I’d asked staff I could have made it warmer but didn’t want to bother anyone and thought it would warm up after the window was closed. I wish I’d brought my travel wave machine noise as the little fridge in the room would start and stop . I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast I think it should be clear it’s something left outside the room the yoghurt was ok with the fruit but not fantastic but enough I guess but it won’t be what most are expecting given there is a nice restaurant in the

Location and although I didn’t have my dog in this occasion it’s great that they are accepted and I may return. The staff were very friendly car area was nice and whilst I didn’t eat there the restaurant looked nice . Free parking

Needed a little bit of a spruce up - they had had recent rain damage and were awaiting repairs to ceiling. The bathroom was a little tired but had everything we needed. Body wash, shampoo, hand wash and hand/body lotion. Fridge, kettle with lots of tea and coffee - oils have done with more milk. Hairdryer was provided too and plenty of towels and loo roll. Have to admit - was disappointed with breakfast. It was brought up to the room the night before. Croissant, fruit, cheese, jam and overnight oats - orange juice in the fridge. Would have liked a full English - but that’s just me. Lovely informative staff - very friendly. The bar had a wonderful warm welcoming atmosphere. I would return in a heartbeat. Was very well located close to town centre - 5 min walk. Lots of other bars nearby and Denis Turkish restaurant was excellent.

The character of the building and the furnishings were lovely.

The access to the bedrooms was difficult if you are incapacitated in any way but that is only to be expected with an old property.

It is very convenient for Bicester shops. The dining was good and staff lovely. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed so good value.
