Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaI was worried about check in because there is no reception and I didn’t receive a door code after checking in online. They were helpful at the adjoining pub so check in was totally fine.
Cheap and cheerful for a quick pit stop between LHR and catching an early morning Eurostar. Room was small, cozy, clean and comfortable. We had a skylight but no other windows which was fine for one night only. Small bathroom but functional layout.

Room was a standard double which was compact but had everything we needed including a kettle & complimentary supplies. Bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and shower was hot enough. Situated less than 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station which was great for exploring, with plenty of food options close by. Prepaid luggage storage also worked well. If reception is unmanned, staff are available to assist via an adjoining door where they also work as bartenders in the Scottish Stores pub

NetherlandsNot much noise from the busy street in front of the hotel but unfortunately we had some noisy neighbors in nearby rooms. Not something the hotel can do anything about, but keep in mind that the walls are not 100% soundproof.
Perfectly located near St. Pancras international station. Clean room with a decent bed and towels. The voucher for a complimentary drink at the nice & cosy pub next door was a pleasant surprise.

United KingdomWe stayed on ground floor, No.1 , it was right next to reception and the main entrance, so in the morning it was quite loud with the heavy fire doors shutting and banging right next to our room. Also, the TV didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal as we were out most of the time anyway.
Convenient location to Kings Cross Station, and many shops/cafes/restaurants around. Self-check-in was a bit annoying, but we managed to leave the suitcases after our stay, without booking. The aircon was really good, and it was clean and tidy.
