The location was simply fantastic!! The views of the mountains and the outdoor hot tub. The beds, hot showers and the breakfast with the warm hospitality was icing on the cake.

Fantastic guest house, Suruchi is a wonderful host. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. The room was excellent, we had a very comfortable four poster bed in room 6. There was an electric under blanket on the bed - the room wasn't cold, but this was particularly helpful for me as I do feel the cold easily so I really appreciated it. The en-suite had a brilliant shower. The lounge was lovely and cosy, it was wonderful to curl up with a book next to the fire. There was a selection of boardgames available. The kitchen is great, there's a fridge and freezer available for use as well as a cooker, oven and microwave if you want to eat in - but if you want to eat out, Suruchi can advise on great local pubs and restaurants. I'll definitely be back in future!

Suruchi was very welcoming from the moment we met. The room was lovely with fresh flowers, and the bathroom was a good size. The property has a well appointed kitchen so we were able to make our own dinner. The breakfast included was lovely- fruit, cereal, toast and of course Suruchi’s famous masala omelette! She loves her home and her guests, and wouldn’t let us leave without showing us her garden which she is passionate about. Suruchi and her son were interested in our travels and offered good advice about things to do in this area.

We had a lovely stay here- the rooms are a good size and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! They’re very dog friendly and our dog loved the gardens, the view from the back garden is beautiful. We’ll definitely come back and stay for longer next time.

If there had been an option for evening dinner it would have been the icing on the cake and the host would like to offer this. However, the fallout from Brexit and the 90 day rule has meant a huge deficit in available hospitality staff in places like the Lake District. Therefore, until something changes do offer more longterm stability to the hospitality recruitment market it is unlikely the accomodation will be able to offer evening meals.

The host was wonderful, the room was cosy, the non-English breakfast was great. No foul smells of congealed animal fat wafting from the kitchen like some Toby Carvery from the 1970s.

One of the friendliest hosts we have ever met. Suruchi makes you feel at home. The property is well-maintained, clean and calm. Rooms are spacious, contemporary and cosy. Breakfast was delicious. The property has a large open area/garden at the back and it would be nice for a family or a group to spend an evening with a view. We received a lot of tips and info about the area, free parking spots around Keswick, attractions and places to dine from Suruchi which came in handy. The property is easy to locate and access compared to many other locations in the Lake District and comes with free parking. It is highly recommended.

The bed/mattress was a little firm for our liking, but if that was the only issue we had, then all in all I'd say we had a lovely time.

Our hostess was amazing! Every morning we had a hot, cooked breakfast made for us, catered to allergies and preferences, and we were greeted by a fresh pot of tea and a fresh pot of coffee, too. If we had any questions or concerns, they were both listened to, understood, and acted upon accordingly in a swift manner. We were also given great recommendations for local attractions and Cafés/restaurants, which was very much welcome. We could not have asked for a better experience, and can not thank Suruchi and her family for making our anniversary holiday feel spectacular. We're already looking forward to coming back.
