Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe standard double room we got looked nothing like the pictures. It was tiny, dated and you couldn't comfortably stay in there as one person let alone two. You could barely walk through the room with the small gap between the bed and cupboard. The breakfast was very busy on Sunday morning and lots of things were running out. The guy topping up the breakfast was very rude and kept saying "no more scrambled eggs" at 10am when breakfast didn't finish until 10.30. I would stay again but I would be wanting to move rooms to one like I thought I'd booked.
Amazing spa facilities, grounds and breakfast.

United KingdomThe TV was quite small in the room and I found hairs in the shower, bathroom floor and a scrunchie hairband on the chair in our room which to me isn’t a high level of standard for cleanliness. Wish the pool/ steam room/sauna had a nice relaxing lounge area. The majority of the pool was blocked off for a swim/ dance workout lesson and then again for a kids swimming lesson so we couldn’t really use the pool.
Stunning resort, lovely hospitality, spa was open until 10pm so we could have a lovely evening swim, use the steam room and sauna to unwind before bed. Receptionist also kindly informed us that we are welcome to use the facilities after checking out. Deluxe queen room was a great size. The massage we had was exceptional thanks to Ellie and her colleague. Me and partner felt really welcomed and relaxed. They tailored to our areas such as the shoulders and back which we wanted more attention on, it was the best massage we’ve ever had!

United KingdomIt was great value for the money but the reception staff and leisure staff need to be more connected for hotel guests. Also the hotel guests weren’t allowed access to the members cafe which seemed odd. The hotel guests felt less important to the health club visitors which might be the case but perhaps just make sure everyone is better informed.
The facilities and the restaurant were our hi lights and perfect for our family dynamic of a family of 4 with a 11 and 15yr old. The location was excellent we would go for a run a long the river in the morning and walked into Kingston (45 mins) with the family. We made use of the tennis courts, gym and pool and all included.

United KingdomThe rooms were very basic and the tv was very small, the tvs in travel lodge and Premier inns are bigger. Storage room is not great, 2 small flat drawers. I understand the resort and all it's facilties is what you pay for but the rooms were not great value for the money, which is a shame as everything else is fantastic!
The resort is lovely, bustling, great atmosphere and vibe. Near the river and 10 mins to high street!

United KingdomI've stayed here before. The place looks a bit tired and could do with a full upgrade although some areas have been upgraded. In the bedroom and bathroom you could see peeling paint on the sills.
As a guest you can use certain spa facilities. I used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The room was very big and the main window overlooked a lawn at the front of the hotel. They employ a lot of ground staff who keep the lawns and recreation area in good condition. The lounge and dining areas are very big and there's plenty of room to relax. I paid for a breakfast which was £12.50. Great value for money. It's a buffet breakfast and the choice is immense.

United KingdomThe sauna/steam rooms were a short walk outside of the main building. And on a drizzly day not ideal. But clean and well maintained
Lovely hotel. The room was a little cold, but the reception staff was absolutely amazing and change our room and gave us a upgrade and extra heating

United KingdomThe room was ok but floor/carpet looked aged. Upon check in, Will/Liam was rude compared to how polite and friendly he was to the other guests checking in before us. He had some attitude and seemed to lack basic customer service skills.
The space and huge grounds were amazing. The breakfast wasn’t anything special and could have been far better. Loved the massages we had provided by Susanne and Mihai, they were truly specialists and made the most difference to our stay. Thank you both!

United Arab EmiratesVery small room, bed and bathroom. The shower cubicle was a squeeze for my four year old granddaughter. We had booked two rooms with an extra bed and told on arrival that they had missed the kids bed and asked if the child would sleep in a tiny double bed. She is four years old so that is definitely not an option. So two hours later and a few drinks vouchers a room with a suitable Z bed was found.
In a great area that is in easy reach of getting into central London but had a rural feeling.
