Andrew and Angnes, we're the perfect hosts. So down to earth. Lovely couple. Couldn't do enough for us. Our room was perfect with our very own deluxe bathroom. The food was outstanding. Nice cocktails. And at such bargain prices. We definitely would stay here again.

Could have done with a slightly bigger basin in the bathroom. Due to layout restrictions it was tiny. Shower was nice and spacious though.

Andrew and Agnes were great hosts. The B&B was very we equipped, with lovely touches in the room e.g. modern technology like the charging points and Alexa. Food was fantastic, delicious home cooked food.

Our room was lovely and was equipped with everything you needed. The bathroom was amazing with a double walk in shower and a lovely big bath and if you had forgot your toothbrush then there was 1 in the cabinet along with everything else you could need on a break away. Andrew the owner was very accommodating, always friendly and happy to help and the breakfast every morning was cooked fresh and made to order.

The wash basin in our particular bathroom was rather small. In the shower cubicle I think it would be nice to have a permanent fitted shower gel and shampoo unit fixed to the cubicle as that would have made things easier and been a really good bonus.

Breakfast was excellent with amazing choices. Andrew, the owner, was very friendly and relaxed and made us most welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Our bedroom was beautifully furnished with lovely peacock wallpaper, chandelier and side table lamps to the bed. The bed was very comfortable with attractive bedding. The thought of putting a small fridge for soft drinks and milk into the wardrobe was very clever and made maximum use of a small area. Bath robes were available. The shower was very good and there was plenty of hot water. In the bathroom cabinet there was a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, sewing kit, soap and sachet for shower use. Everything seemed to have been thought about to make our stay comfortable with tea/coffee facilities plus biscuits and a treat of fudge. Hair dryer, room heater and the offer to use a thermos flask and cups for outings was also available. What a nice touch!

Super room with lovely additional touches, a tablet with code, a flask for picnics, Alexa, and lots of nice extras. Breakfasts were delicious, and such a good choice. Eggs Benedict, Florentine, the full English etc. Evening meals were available Friday and Saturday, on the dates of our stay in April. All were cooked to order, and very tasty. If you do wander into town, and want a bargain, head to the little community shop. All shops in this area/village are so friendly. Ilfracombe, is a few minutes away, as is the Dinosaur place, and Watermouth Castle.

Andrew and Agnes are very welcoming hosts friendly and attentive. Our room offered every comfort available. Andrew is an excellent chef breakfast and evening meal were cooked to perfection. Our stay at Lion house was perfect for our much needed midweek break. Thank you Andrew and Agnes.

All the extra effort and details put in show clear consideration for the guests. The husband and wife hosts evidently have put great thought into making it a really special stay for every guest. Lovely room, delicious dinner and incredible breakfast and cater to all dietary needs (my partner can’t have gluten or dairy). They are so welcoming and warm and you just feel like a VIP. Cannot recommend enough.

There was nothing I didn't like but I was expecting shampoo, so didn't bring my own. There was, however, a shower wash sachet that did the job. Also, no hairdryer, so I let it dry naturally...which was probably good for it!

Food was amazing. I'd like to call out the veg, with the pie, which was mouth watering, in particular the carrots which were sweet and juicy just as they should be.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Lots of little touches which surpassed other B&Bs such as facilities in the room you'd expect to find in a 4 star hotel such as bathrobes and a mini fridge not to mention the technology available in the room but I was delighted by the variety of Gluten free options on offer, in particular the freshly made GF croissants at breakfast. The decor of the entire premises is lovely and there is designated parking behind the building. I was offered another room when there was a minor problem in my bathroom but it was sufficiently fixed and I did not think a move was really necessary but it was a thoughtful suggestion.
