I waited in reception for a while for staff and walked around trying to find a member of staff to check in (I was early) they appeared to have limited staff on duty.

Beautiful location, main property looked amazing on the outside. Coach house was tired looking on the outside but appeared to have been decorated and recarpeted fairly recently on the inside. Good value for money.

Very few staff around. It seemed we were only guests there. Got back just after 11pm. No chance of a resident's bar for a night cap. Good value for money.

We were in room 19 & first impression was good. However, the windows in the bathroom are full of mold, especially the 1 by the toilet, and there is no way of closing the blind for privacy for using the toilet & shower. Bed isn't very comfy & all bedding & pillows feel budget. I was told about the function and music being on until 1am beforehand and never heard any music just people going to bed from 1.30 until 6am & people laughing, shouting & slamming doors. One crowd had a 15 minute very loud conversation outside our room at 3am. We didn't get much sleep unfortunately because of this.

Breakfast was ok, but no eggs, a choice of scrambled or fried would of been good. Black pudding was rock hard & bacon was under cooked.

Was an amazing place and breakfast was amazing but in the room we stayed the sink needs replacing and the tap as a drip apart , and taxis will not book trips here apart from that it's was a fabulous place xx

Stayed over for Christmas party night. Had same room as last year and whilst the room is spacious and clean I was disappointed that the same broken dressing table mirror was still in place. It wouldn't cost much to replace it. It was near impossible to do make up as you had to hold the mirror with one hand to prevent it collapsing. Come on guys, buy a new one!!!

The Christmas party night was superb. The entertainment was great and the food fantastic. Couldn't fault it. Staff lovely and friendly.

The weather: it dampened our trip. Narrow steep lane to access the hotel, with ditches on the sides.

On arrival we were allocated our room, however no electric in the room except for the lights, so we were unable to use hairdryers, charge phones or even have a cup of coffee. We mentioned it at reception, who offered us another room in the coach house, which we eventually accepted. Many more rooms complained of no electric. For us due to the room move did not spoil our stay, although it was a little cold.

I have stayed here a few times and like the decor, the style and location of the property, we stayed for the Christmas Party night, it was good, the food was good and we enjoyed the party atmosphere.

In the room in the coach house it had set times for heatong so when we arrived at 6pm it was freezing and we had to wait till later for the central heating to come on as it was timed. Maybe have a plug in heater as an alternative

Pillows we're like bed sheets and made it uncomfortable to sleep. Was cold in the room as well as the radiator only worked in the bathroom.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, just a couple of little niggles. For example the light above the bathroom mirror didn’t work. But that’s all really.

Room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good All staff were excellent, the reception staff, bar/restaurant staff, cleaners. But a special mention to the man who was on reception in the evening. We didn’t get his name but he had dark hair, glasses and a beard! He was so helpful, professional and a genuinely lovely guy.

First room things missing eg. Draw handle missing wasn't very clean, door in hall banging till 4am then again at 7am and hoovering at 7.30am. We was moved rooms the next day. Second room very unclean, bed base broken TV not working tiny room for the price we paid.

The view was amazing, and the staff were great.
