Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The first room they give us, was not made up for the us and looked like a bomb had gone off in the room. But was quick and professional sorted, we were give a complementary bottle of wine, so all good. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was very good, the only thing that let the weekend down was a member of the bar staff who was a little rude.

United KingdomI didn't particularly like the evening menu. The special was taken off early and two nights on the menu lamb wasn't available. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't open the window even a small amount as the handles had been taken off. What would happen if there was a fire?
I thought the choice of breakfast was very good. I also thought the staff were excellent. I liked the position of the hotel.

United KingdomNo food available when we got back from an event, about 10pm. Though you could go and get room service (?) Bar doesn’t sell even crisps or peanuts. So we went to corner shop to get some crisps. This is after our party spent £200 plus in the bar over the course of the day and evening. Plus £500 on rooms. The bar staff then asked the security guard to stop us eating our crisps in the bar ( with the drinks we’d bought in there). We were told we weren’t allowed to eat in there. If they sold snacks or food we would have bought from malmaison but it was made very clear this was out of the question and we were hungry. All in all really took the shine off what was a pleasant evening. Needless pettiness and awful customer care.
