How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just one problem. There are no handrails to the sides of the entrance steps. Difficult for anyone like myself with a walking disability. PLEASE install at least a handrail on one side of the steps!

I did not include breakfast in my reservation, so I cannot comment on that. The location was perfect for me, as it was walking distance to many points of interest, restaurants, shopping, and the Underground. The staff was wonderful! Very friendly, professional, and helpful. I had a single room and it was adequate in size, as I did not spend much time in it. However, it was very tight. While it was nice to have the option for coffee, it would have been nicer to have a Nespresso or something similar vs the instant packets. It was very clean. The bedcover could also be of better quality - as I felt it was like a dollar store quality. It was very helpful that the reception desk had adapters, as I did not have the right fit.

The AC is quite noisy and the windows don’t open so difficult when sleeping. The beds are very small.
The location is excellent for visiting the natural history museum or the royal Albert hall. Very clean rooms!

The view out of our window was dreadful but didn’t spoil our break.
The location was great as we were going to the Albert hall. Breakfast was good sham not included. The staff were really helpful.

Hand held shower head holder was loose so wouldn’t stay in place but not a big deal.

The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. My room was tired looking and needed painted at a minimum. There was a spill on the wall of my room that hadn’t been wiped and bottled water would have been nice. The restaurant was also closed during my stay, which wasn’t ideal. Breakfast requires larger cups for hot drinks and a self service machine would be beneficial rather than someone serving them. The cups used are too small for the anything other than a basic coffee or tea.
The location was good and the room was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly.

No do not disturb sign so we got woken up by the maid. Shower can get a little slippery.
Amazing location, comfy beds, great shower and even though our room was facing the street it got very quiet at night and we slept well.

The hotel is just two. blocks from the Glouster Train Station. Lots of restaurants, pubs and even fast food within blocks of the hotel. They serve a very good buffet breakfast at the hotel for a reasonable rate too,

Noisy fridge- I had to find the plug and switch it off. Staff at breakfast room were forbidden from smiling.

The carpet from the lobby to the elevators was really old and stinky. Not a great first impression. The bar wasn't open the days we were there. The carpet in the rooms wasn't the cleanest, we prefer wood or laminate floors in any hotel.
Location close to the Tube and tons of pubs and cafes. Easy to get to and from Heathrow on the trains, with a 10 minute easy walk with luggage to the hotel. Nice big room and bathroom for a London hotel.
