Nothing, everything was great.

It was in a convenient location for us. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had an evening meal which was great and even though they were short-staffed in the morning, breakfast was marvellous. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return if we’re ever back in the area.

Nothing really, although if two people were staying in the room all the extra small cushions on the bed might get in the way. Anyone not arriving before 8pm, though, really ought to make contact in advance as some nights the bar is very quiet and closes earlier than you might expect.

I'd stayed here before. Just a few minutes' drive out of Tywyn. Very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, great shower, etc. Tea / coffee making facilities provided. Wi-fi worked well (at least on first night - it didn't on my second, but I think that was a problem with my laptop, not the wi-fi!). Quiet location, and room looked out towards the hills. Check-in time shown as until 8pm, but I messaged the property to check if arriving later would be a problem and was told it wouldn't be, but if I would be later than 10pm I should phone them. Unfortunately, I was delayed on the last leg of my drive and arrived at about 10.05pm to find doors locked and lights in the bar being switched off... I phoned them and initially got no answer, but on the second attempt got through and the member of staff on the premises (the owner?) came down to show me to my room - and it appeared to be no hassle at all (thank you for being understanding!). I didn't sample breakfast, as I had to leave just a little too early (and breakfast was available where I was going; it's not included in the price of the room).

Cabinet lights in bathroom not working so always had to have noisy extractor on. Difficult to plug in medical equipment by bed. Too many cushions!!!

Visited the area to attend a funeral. The pub was warm and friendly and evening food and breakfast were good. The owner upgraded us to the nicest room without asking. Would recommend.

Room 4 , the heating was insufficient, it was not on when we arrived and the room was cold. The small radiator never actually got the room warm.

The layout of the room 4 which is better than room 1 which we had 2 days later.

lovely room, staff had put heating on earlier in the day so it was warm when I arrived. Bed was very comfortable, had a meal in the pub with friends it was excellent and well priced. In a lovely location with an outdoor seating area. Staff very helpful, overall a very enjoyable stay.

minor details of possible improvements: there was tea stain in the tea cup and the shower screen was smudgy.

over all, everything was great. we arrive quite late, and was greeted with a lovely smile. the room was lovely, with everything you need.

Access to the rooms involves climbing a lot of steps and stairs, which could be difficult for some, and just a little awkward.

Location for me was ideal

It wasn't a problem for me but access to the rooms was via an outdoor metal staircase so may not be suitable for anyone with restricted mobility.

Excellent room, clean, warm, comfortable, quiet. I booked an evening meal and had the Sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection. I really couldn't have been more satisfied and would certainly book again. The staff were very friendly and it's a great location.
