AustraliaWe arrived on Mother's Day and the harbour, and restaurant, was crazy busy - so it was tricky to find a parking spot. We drove around the area a number of times and found a spot in the parking area around the corner eventually. Just bad timing really. Also, be prepared, the property doesn't have a lift - not a negative, but something to be prepared for if you have heavy luggage. But it was worth it for us.
This was a delightful property!!! Our room was a bit small, but I knew what I selected as the larger rooms had already been booked out. But we had a fridge, a Smart TV, an ensuite, and the room was large enough for us, and we loved it - and the price so reasonable. Next to our bed was a large window looking onto the harbour - which was so special. We enjoyed our wonderful breakfasts in the restaurant, had a few drinks at the bar, and one evening ate in the restaurant. All excellent!. Lots of great bars and food in the area if you decide to go exploring. We love the series Hope Street and so it was fun to stay in the hotel and wander around the area. Donaghadee is just gorgeous, and was such a surprise to us as we were not expecting it to be so lovely. We were lucky to have blue skies during our stay and we went for lots of walks. We were happy with the customer service, Lindsay suggested our new favourite meal (the sesame chicken) at their sister property, Caroline took a photo of us behind the bar, and Mia was a lot of fun. Thank you Pier 36 for a wonderful stay!
