Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo elevator so we had to drag a heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs ourselves.
We had a room with a lovely view over the sea. Check in was efficient although our receptionist was very new in the role. Breakfast was good with nice variety and nicely prepared cooked food (poached eggs with avocado was delicious). Pool was heated and a nice end to our day of hiking.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like but we much preferred the Vista to the dining room. It just felt more relaxed and friendly.
Beautiful location, wonderful views, helpful staff. A great place for appreciating nature, walking and unwinding. Fantastic to have EV charging but these need to be marked to stop non electric cars blocking them.

United KingdomThe room was very spacious and comfortable. The lighting could have been better, especially over the dressing table mirror, as it was difficult to apply makeup. The fan didn't work in the bathroom. We had to leave the door open to let out the steam.

United KingdomThere was nothing that we didn't like
This beautiful hotel is situated on the cliffs with lovely sea views and coastal walks either side. The restaurant and extremes area which is like a huge glass conservatory have amazing sea views. Food was delicious lots of choice for breakfast. Staff were friendly and kind upgraded us on the day to a sea view room. We had a bath and a shower which were great the room was big bed was comfy 2 radiators in our room which we didn't use as the room was the right temp for us. Heated towel rail in the bathroom. The pool and Jaquzzi was an added bonus and we enjoyed our massages by the very talented Lucy I felt so relaxed after. This hotel is close enough to Mullion village to walk and we found a gorgeous thatched roof pub which was very quint and quirky it had a bread oven in the side of the wall it's called the Old inn. We eat in the other nearby pub Mounts Bay inn the food was extra nice I had a delicious fish pie and crumble and custard staff were really nice even giving us free carrot cake. after defo recommend going there to eat. Hotel was clean and warm we will definitely be back

United KingdomThe swimming pool is in dire need of repair, broken tiles and very worn flooring etc but I understand it is due for complete renovation soon. However, there is no excuse for dirt. When we walked into the pool area the carpet is filthy, and I noticed straight away there was sand built up in the shallow end. We entered the pool and had a swim, I noticed the tiles were discoloured on the edge of the pool. On closer inspection this is actually brown scum. There is no excuse for this when it could be so easily cleaned. The jacuzzi was murky and discoloured, not a chance we were getting in. But one positive is that the changing rooms were warm, clean and really nice. We stayed in the Island Suite, overall it was great but there were lots of greasy finger prints on the kitchenette doors, also a coffee/tea spill on the wall in the bedroom that was missed. Overall cleanliness good though. Wish there had been a little more privacy though, footpath runs right past the rooms and hot tub, and it is over looked by the car park. In the morning I would have loved to have opened the curtains and enjoyed the early morning sun with a coffee in bed, but there were dog walkers looking in and it just wasn't comfortable which was a shame. Curtains firmly shut till we were all dressed! Breakfast options were good on paper, all the buffet options were fresh and tasty. Cooked options were pretty mediocre, full English had chewy bacon, lukewarm beans and just not that great. Avocado on toast with underdone poached eggs, again not great. Not terrible, but just not great. It was an expensive one night booking, and whilst the suite was wonderful, I'm not sure the facilities are up to standard. Roll on the new pool!
Location, beautiful and the staff friendly. The rooms were well equipped and the grounds are gorgeous. My children loved the play park! I liked the fact the swimming times were pre-booked so it wasn't busy. We stayed in the Island Suite with our children and it was just so much fun. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and the grounds surrounding were immaculate. The beds are really comfy and its so so peaceful. It was such a relaxing break and my children didn't want to leave.

United KingdomI would recommend villas to be well equipped with combi boiler instead of storage heater. You will run out of Hot water after couple of people had shower or bath and then to wait longer for water to get heated up.
