Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe did select a room with no window. It’s okay for single travellers a little claustrophobic for two. It was a very reasonable price though.
Very modern, clean and everything was very efficient. I loved that on each floor you could help yourself to hot drinks and fresh water. Lovely bar area very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

United KingdomRoom size was small and during the evening had a lot of kitchen fumes which was not pleasant as no window. Cooked breakfast was not very warm.
Breakfast was good with good selection. We particularly liked the bar/restaurant down stairs which was beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsVery cozy hotel and friendly staff! Had some trouble with two separate bookings, but the staff took the time to help us sort everything out and put us in the same room. Location very good (free bus in front of the hotel) and located on a great place.

SwitzerlandThe bathroom makes very strange noises (dripping/plashing) all night, which was a bit annoying. The flushing from other rooms is also audible.
This was our second time at this hotel. The price/performance ratio is right, everything is clean and the location is very good. We would come back again.

United KingdomMain downside is that you can hear when other people flush the toilet? Which was quite loud. We was on the 4th floor. No parking unfortunately, however they do provide a good discount code on local NCP carpark.
Lovevly room, had pretty much everything we needed. Love the free coffee and milk facilities. The room had a rustic cool look. Love that they allow you to connect to the TV to watch Netflix and YouTube. You can even cast from your phone! Beds are firm, pillows great. Plenty of towels. Great air conditioning.

Czech RepublicWe were placed in a room for people with disabilities. The accessible bathroom design was not comfortable for regular use. The sink was extremely low and small — even kids would find it impractical. No shelf or space to put personal items. There is no mirror above the sink at standing height. It is located nearby. Showerhead could not be fixed — had to be held manually. After one person showered, the whole bathroom was wet, which made it very unpleasant for the next person. No outlets in the bathroom. No cups or glasses in the room — not even for brushing your teeth or drinking water. You could fetch a mug from the hallway, but it’s not ideal. No storage space to properly unpack or store clothes. The window could not be opened, and the central ventilation system was very loud and constant. After 4 nights, I had a headache from the noise. Spoke to staff twice about the ventilation noise — unfortunately, nothing was resolved.
Fantastic location, probably the best part of the stay. Comfortable bed with one large duvet and supportive pillows. Convenient EU and UK sockets by the bed. Cleanliness was generally fine.

United KingdomThe sink had sharp corners and my wife caught her thigh on it twice causing a 4inch scratch and also catching a scar where she has just had a cancerous growth removed. Not sure about the scaffold decor in the room as it makes the room look smaller

Location, the Mötley bar has a great selection of drinks and some very eclectic decoration. Rooms have lots of power and USB charging points. Bed big and comfortable. Bathroom clean and modern with a good powerful shower.

United KingdomNot having coffee making facilities in the room. Thankfully the coffee machine was close to our room but having to get dressed just to make coffee wasn’t ideal. It wasn’t ideal not being able to open a window for fresh air, even being able to open it a little would have been good. The aircon was difficult to figure out and left us feeling a little dehydrated after needing it on in the night to keep the room cooler.
The central location in the city centre is great. The bar area and restaurant is really nice too! All the staff we came across were exceptional, really welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was super clean.

PolandIt was a little noisily, there was a club near the hotel and on Saturday night the music had been so loud and it was not possible to sleep well.
Self check in/out system is a really nice idea. It is not needed to wait or collaborate with the stuff. The breakfast was good.
