Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandThe lock to get into the main building was not working the 1st night. We felt it wasnt safe as anyone from the street could walk in. We mentioned it to the staff at check in and we were told it would be fixed that night. When we returned late that night it still wasnt fixed. Thankfully the next day it was fixed.

United KingdomThe lighting was very bright and there was only the choice of all-on or all-off. That's fine during the day, but not so great in the evening. It would have been great to have had a lamp in the room, or a way to dim the lights. We ended up turning on the bathroom light and propping the door open very slightly to get a pleasant amount of light in the evening. It's a small point but it's the only thing preventing me from giving maximum marks.
The location could not have been better - so close to the station and 2 minute's walk to the centre of town. Nice quick and easy check-in. Friendly staff. Very clean. Nice, hot shower. Comfy bed. Perfect for a couple of days in Liverpool.
