The property itself was lovely but the restaurant menu was a bit confusing and unusual. Read the breakfast menu carefully!

No hot tub in spa, food in restaurant wasn’t the best was fine though.

Beautiful hotel, and the walk round the grounds was my favourite part! Great gym and chilling areas! Stayed for Hen do and they gave us a lovely space in the restaurant for our group.

Wouldn't say it was a dislike, but the room could have been better , the decor could do with a bit of paint and the curtains could be a bit more light resistant.

We could hear everything in the next adjoining room through the badly sound proofed adjoining doors and we couldn’t get to sleep. As I had a long drive the following morning this wasn’t good and spoiled some of my stay

Upgraded to premium room which was lovely and very large, views over the ground are gorgeous (fairfax room)! Spa very relaxing but pool only luke warm! Bar area was great especially sat outside on the patio in the sun. Good choice behind the bar and food was gorgeous, we ate in the restaurant and had breakfast. Food was done to a very high standard! I would stay here again.

Cleanliness of the room, however we completely understood that it might not have been of the highest level due to the room being a dog friendly room (we had our dog with us of course!), we would still not expect stains on the carpet along with several areas of paint chipping off the walls/furniture. This will not stop us from coming back though as it was overall a beautiful stay and the food was incredible.

We ordered off the restaurant menu and it was absolutely delicious, honestly, you could tell everything was fresh. Spa staff(lady at the reception with red hair) was lovely, super friendly and you could tell she'd go the extra mile for her customers.

We felt the restaurant was very poor. Food was never hot, it always arrived warm which meant it got cold before you had finished. On one occasion my wife’s dinner arrived cold and we had to send it back. By the time it arrived hot, I had already finished my own meal. The menu itself had been changed at the weekend and we arrived on the Monday. This meant that the waitress could not answer any questions asked and had to keep going to the kitchen to find the answer. This in itself was annoying. We would willingly return for another visit but, unfortunately, we would not eat at the hotel.

The reception staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was very good. The bed was very comfortable and spacious and the bathroom facilities were superb. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We would like to give a special mention for one of the members of staff, I believe her name was Jade Bennett. She was very friendly, attentive to our needs and helped to make our stay enjoyable.

Rooms needed decorating as a fair few chips and marks to walls and skirting boards. We were a bit disappointed that bar staff despite being quiet were very slow at serving us. No toilet brush.

Pool was decent and bed was very comfy.

The hotel could do with some modernising in certain areas, especially in the basic bedrooms and bathrooms.

We checked in to our standard room which i was slightly disappointed with, especially the bathroom which is in need of a major refurbishment. Within a few minutes we found sweets on the carpet which hadnt been cleaned up. We went to tell reception and then off to the spa for an hour. On our return the receptionist went out of her way to get us an upgrade to the master suite. The new room was beautiful, with a lounge area, a huge bed and a beautiful, modern bathroom. Our stay was immediately elevated. Breakfast was excellent the next morning as well.

The room had an adjoining door to the next room. The soundproofing was very poor (non existent) so we could hear every cough! The room was accessed via a very circuitous route and the carpet was pretty grubby and needed hoovering.

Lovely reception and dining rooms, very stylish. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, good size, had more or less everything we needed. The spa facilities are gorgeous, top notch. And the breakfast was also superb.
