Location, room looked into the lovely back garden, comfortable beds, nice room. Brought back good memories when we married here 25 years ago.

Cooked Breakfast was great, table service was a nice change from buffet style breakfasts but would have appreciated hot drinks/juices to be self service so I could have had a couple of cups of coffee and would have also liked a bigger offering of breakfast pastries/croissants

Didn’t expect such a magnificent room! It was slightly tired but huge, the bed/mattress super comfortable, I would have liked to bring the pillows home! Room was clean, bedding fresh, bathroom nice and big. Location was good with nice garden grounds and about 10 minutes walk from the beach. Dog friendly and lovely staff, no issues whatsoever

Some things were missing in our room, such as hand soap, shampoo and one of the bedside tables.

I was able to leave my luggage. I arrived very early and left the following afternoon but I didn't consider that the area where I put my suitcase was secure. It is a pity there was nowhere luggage could be securely left eg locked cupboard. I would have been happy to pay a small fee.

Excellent location. Walking distance from railway station. Good parking if required. Lovely sunny garden to sit in. Near both beach and town centre. I have stayed here before and would recommend.

No lift. It’s a struggle for elderly travelers with luggage. Smell of bleach cleaning products, while encouraging, was a bit overpowering. Toilet roll was small & no spare. Dinner for vegetarian - limited choice & tempura vegetables were difficult to get a fork into.

The building is beautiful great staff good location. Wasn't very keen on our breakfast though it looked good, but my tattie scones were very greasy it was dripping wasn't offered whether we preferred white or brown toast the bacon was meager sausage wasn't very tasty.

Need to have an area around the bar not just for dogs which I love but for lounging after dinner . The 2 sofas used to be next to the big fireplace in the dining area which was fantastic. However the area near the bar is perfect. It’s almost as though they don’t want people in the bar area 🤷‍♀️

Met the owner who was quite amazing. Was at a funeral and at night they shut the bar too early. Much to the annoyance of the person who had spent a fortune in arranging the reception. Other than that my stay was most satisfactory. Hope you find this useful.

People talking and opening and closing doors after 2.00am I just couldn’t get back to sleep! I had travelled 300 miles and was attending a funeral the next day and then driving 300 miles home so was quite important to sleep, it was whispering chit chat. A heart breakfast certainly woke me up though, and the staff were so attentive and friendly!

The food situation was a bit hit and miss, especially breakfast. Breakfast was included in the price so I think we definitely got value for money. It's not that the food wasn't good. Food at night was lovely. It's just that the breakfast options weren't great. Now part of the problem was probably the weather which had hampered deliveries so it's not a deal breaker in terms of a return visit. It was just a wee bit disappointing.

The room was gorgeous with a lovely view. The hotel was gorgeous. Staff were friendly. Great value for money. Loved being close to the beach and would love to be there in summer when we could access the garden.
