Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSwimming pool isn’t included in the price of the stay and at £249 for just one night I would expect this! Also the sofa bed wasn’t set up correctly so rather than being a double it only worked as a single.

United KingdomThe dinner menu needs to be more varied. e.g. no simple simple fish dish (I do not include Fish and Chips). Coravin not working. If spending several nights here the menu would be very limiting.

United KingdomCouldn’t believe that the beds even in the junior suite is just a small(very ) double. Too small in today’s world and considering the large room a real disappointment. The bed itself was comfortable but.
The breakfast was excellent, a buffet that was hot thank you.

United KingdomVery comfy beds. The cot was small though. Frustrating that there was no milk in the room and you had to go down the corridor to get it; frustrating with you’re on your own with a baby!

United KingdomA great hotel to get away and relax in. Staff are very friendly as are the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant......only complaint I have is that the evening menu is limited to what diabetics and those that suffer from haemochromatosis.......not knocking the food as it was out of this world but a little more choice would be brilliant.....will I stay again.....ABSOLUTELY ☆☆☆☆☆

United KingdomHow many kids are in the spa! I think maybe we’re starting to misunderstand the term spa as we assume that’s for adults and a leisure centre is for families but we seem to keep being wrong!

United KingdomOur room was a little tired and the door to the fridge was about to fall off. A lot of mould around the sink. Curtain rings missing on curtains. However, my daughters room was nothing like this and had been freshly painted and the bathroom was clean and fresh. The above are not a critismism at all but more to help the staff and hotel to give the rooms which are 'tired', a little bit of TLC. Considering the pool area has just been renovated, it is a shame there aren't more loungers and seating for guests around the pool area. I think more could be done with the spectators area, as it is a very big space, which could be opened up to accomodate maybe more loungers or a darkened relaxation area with simliar music to the spa changing rooms.
The bed was really comfy and I slept VERY WELL. The staff were extremely polite and very helpful. Lovely and quiet and we felt very relaxed using the spa and pool facilites.

United KingdomThe breakfast was good but missing cheese options. Restaurant service on a Friday night was slow but probably because they were full in a half-term holiday. It did improve remaining days, so i believe to be exception.
The hotel is very welcoming for families while still having the feel of an adult focused hotel. The ambience music conveys calm throughout. The spa facilities are very good. Sauna, steam room and pool had temperature spot on, and changing facilities were also very good. We had a very relaxing stay.

United KingdomMy room was on the ground floor on the corner of the building so both the bedroom and lounge area outside walls took the brunt of the cold wind at the time which made the room unusually chilly, but staff did what they could to get it warmer for me. Next time I will ask for a different room!
The room (standard) was fabulous with separate lounge and bedroom areas as well as bathroom. The staff in every area of the hotel were so helpful, this is what 'good service' is all about, staff who listen and try to do whatever is needed to make their guests' stay really good. Breakfast was amazing, and again the staff were helpfully attentive but quietly so allowing guests to relax and enjoy their first meal of the day - the decor and ambiance in the dining room was delightful, and being wintertime the open fire was lit offering comforting warmth. The spa facilities were superb and the food was good. The design of the entrance hall with its stunning wheel-shaped modern lighting feature high up in the dome-shaped ceiling, decor, interesting prints and easy access from one space to another, i.e. reception to bar, lounge, dining areas and spa, makes this one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.
