United KingdomAlasdair made us feel extremely welcome - what a delightful host. All the staff were extremely helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The rooms were arranged around a courtyard and each room had its own outside table and chairs from which to admire the pleasant view. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. A helpful map of the area was provided, giving us a route to walk into Buxton, which we enjoyed. I would definitely recommend staying at Staden Grange.

United KingdomThe location, I wanted to be in easy reach of Buxton town centre for the Gilbert and Sullivan opera festival. The final stretch of road to the Grange is un made up and unlit....But the view from the breakfast room was nice.
gOOD BREAKFAST, HELPFUL STAFF. The problem was th elocation, I was going to the opera in Buxton and driving back after on narrow lanes in the dark was a bit tricky. Also I managed to mislay my door key so had to return by abotu 11 , so I missed the Cabaret after the Opera. The proprietor was helpful and my key turned up under the seat of the car the next mor ning..
