There were a few things that needed attention: burnt-out bulbs (got replaced), dead battery in safe (never replaced despite requests and promises). The pans could be stainless which is so much healthier than the chipped nonstick coatings. A strange, unpleasant odor at the elevator. Hallway carpets could use a cleaning.

It was very conveniently located in a great location, near the Tower of London. The room was ready earlier than expected and that was a great relief after getting off an overnight, cross-Atlantic flight

With sofa lounge made into a bed it only had 1 single chair to sit on or had to sit at dinner table. We moved the mattress off the lounge and folded up the lounge to have a better seat

Shower - low water pressure Tap - hard to find the correct warm temp - burnt my hand slightly Curtains - light coming through at 5:30am City noise coming through even though the windows were closed.

Great location with great transport links. Apartment was huge and had everything you need for a few days away. Kitchen very well equipped, a lovely modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. I checked in at night, so no staff were around, but it was straightforward and seamless. Very secure property too. Also, great communication from the property. Would absolutely stay again!

There was a risk of staff not being around to help open the door if you forgot the key. Also, the code to enter the complex sometimes did not work

Location was central with easy access to Aldgate and Aldgate East stations. The flat was clean and had good heating, the towel rail was especially good for drying clothes quickly. The kitchen was well-equipped and flat also came with a washing machine

We stayed six nights in this well-designed one-bedroom studio apartment in a good location in Aldgate, in the East End of London. It’s just a short walk to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and London Bridge, and there are several bus stops and tube stations nearby. The apartment had a compact bathroom with good shower, well-equipped kitchenette with washing machine, and a combined bedroom/dining/living room area with flat screen TV. The kitchen was quite well-equipped with glassware, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, fridge freezer, kettle, pod coffee machine, coffee plunger, electric cooktop, microwave, oven, toaster, and dishwasher. Daily housekeeping (except on Saturdays and Sundays) is a bonus! Our apartment was on the fourth floor, and it faced the street, so it was incredibly noisy at times. Even with the double-glazed windows closed, you can hear noise from the road and the sirens!! We were disappointed that Marlyn lodge would not store our luggage after checkout. We had an evening flight back to Australia, and we had to check out by 10 am so we had to use a luggage storage service to store our bags for 3-4 hours. As we had 4 bags to store, this was quite expensive. Otherwise, this is a great option for a London stay and Andrew is a very helpful and responsive host!

The only issue was that the heating unit was next to the bed, which made some clicking noises. I am an extremely light sleeper, which is why it bothered me. However, when I complained, someone was there almost instantly to have a look and explain to me how the heating works.

Communication was speedy and clear. It is in a perfect location, within walking distance of anything you could possibly need. The area is nice and quiet at night. The hosts were extremely helpful. The apartment was well-kitted out and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable.

Great location, safe and secure and very clean. Easy check in and check out. They were helpful with a late check out which is good for late departure flights. The facilities eg kitchen and bathroom had everything you could need.

This is a very comfortable apartment - a real home away from home. Excellent location near the Tower of London enabled us to easily catch the tube to everywhere we needed to be. Very good wifi ensured easy ‘working from home’. A supermarket just around the corner, and Tate Modern within walking distance. The apartment was very clean, extremely secure and safe, and also very quiet considering its central location. Will definitely rebook next time we are in London.

That Netflix would disconnect on several occasions as soon as you’d connect and our toilet blocked twice with only a plunger being offered rather than fixed by plumber.

Instructions for the washing machine would have been useful as we wanted to use the dryer and could not figure out how to do it. The hot water tap on the bath was faulty.

Excellent facilities - comfortable, clean etc.. We noted that much had been upgraded since our last stay. Superb furnishings and kitchen equipment.

I really liked everything, but curtains have to be chanced to have a total dark room. Maybe too many messages from the app booking, reminding the check out (even two days before the check-out day). But in general no complaints at all.

i really liked everything. The apartment is soooo comfy and beautiful, in the city center... 5 minutes from tower hill and three different underground stations. There's everything inside and you are in a condo, so safe and always clean. Rules are easy to follow and it was a pleasure spending time even inside. We cooked for New Year's Eve and it was soooo special. A place I will choose again and again, even because it's in my fav city in the world!
