Bathroom fan super annoying and light going on and off. Beds were too small for two people

Honestly we were fairly happy with everything being a family of six… loved the kitchen sitting area. TV did not work but not a huge deal. We loved the location and open courtyard and pool tables.

Perhaps mattress could be better. Also add a light blanket, the down coverlet can get too warm. Bathroom is quite clean but the staining of the silicone is unattractive.

Bed was comfortable, more than acceptable, mattress has springs but still quite good. Not a 4 star hotel mattress, but quite good. Mattress is a full size so if you're a couple keep it in in mind. Very tight shower but that seems standard in UK. I would happily return the staff is absolutely great, location is excellent! Room has good light and dark curtains for sleeping.

No buses without walking considerable distance uphill. Often GPS would suggest taking stairs to reach Sugarhouse Close, difficult for people with disabilities. Few restaurants available on the street nearby, again requiring uphill walking. And at the end of my stay, some sewer smell in my room, which I reported. No breakfast provided.

Staff was great, location good for my purposes although buses not available to my destinations from the street.

Only one stool in the kitchen area, and very limited cooking utensils.

Location is great, and despite being so central, it is very quiet. Beds comfy, and the shower was great - very hot and powerful.

It is student accommodation and quite basic. I paid £200/ night and there were few concessions to comfort. Not even a reading lamp. No tv. That's a rip off.

Location is perfect for Edinburgh Festival. It has everything you need for a short stay: a comfortable bed, kitchenette, fridge, en suite.

Convenient location close to city center. Would need more spacious bed for two people but all in all can't complain. Very good for a budget staying and especially during the month of August

The window was tiny and to far away to reach to open it. This also made the room quite dark.

The location was excellent for the Fringe, in a quiet area but within walking distance of a lot of venues. The facilities in the room were good. The shower was hot and powerful.

There were a few parts of the bathroom that could've been cleaner. As a solo female traveller, I did feel a bit nervous walking back there late at night, however it would be fine if you were with other people or caught a taxi.

Great location. Walking distance to all of the Edinburgh Fringe venues that I needed to go to. A basic room but it had everything that you would need as one person.

The beds aren’t the biggest or the comfiest, and bedding / pillows extremely basic. A few niggles, like showers not draining quickly and sticky doors.

Fantastic location. Perfect base for the fringe. It is basic, but then you are choosing student accommodation so you should expect that! Clean, very smooth check in, and acceptable rooms.

The prices during Fringe seemed high for a student room, but everywhere does that during Fringe.

Convenient location for the majority of Fringe venues. All the facilities you'd expect from student accommodation. Comfortable mattress and a lift to reach upper floors. Lovely helpful staff :)

Kiln 14 was soooooooooo hot! Staff said it might be something to do with the boiler???

I would have rated 10 stars if the 3rd bedroom was not smelly. We think the smell was wet laundry but nothing in the room was wet. The odor was still there after 4 days. Two of the 3 bedroom doors made loud squiky noise that needs to be fixed. Should provide paper towel and dish detergent for kitchen. Otherwise, rooms are clean and quiet. It's nice that each room has its own complete bathroom which they can rent out separately. We enjoyed the privacy from our family. It's a plus that they have a main door that is locked so you don't have to lock each room door for your family to access. We weren't aware of the cafe so we did not use it. Water pressure is very strong and boiling hot. Definitely family friendly. Wished they sale individually laundry detergent inside the laundry room. 24hr convenient store and Asian grocery store within the block.

Lighting in the bedroom was either very bright or very dark with the ceiling lighting available. Better to provide some over bed lighting for reading at night.

A little noisy in the morning 0530-0600 with what I presume were large rubbish bins being emptied by trucks.

Connecting to the Wifi was somewhat complicated, a non techy or older person would be in trouble, and the member of staff available was not too helpful.
