Had requested x2 single beds in the double room. We arrived late having driven down from Ben Nevis and manager said hotel fully booked and no staff available to split the double bed. Not very satisfactory!

We booked two rooms. Very comfortable bed, although single room and particularly the en-suite rather cramped. Excellent full English breakfast. Cannot comment on dinner as arrived too late, but menu looked tasty. Great location for climbing Scafell Pike and adjacent mountains.

Room 16 needed updating and was basic but ok for a short stay. The noise from the kitchen extractor fan was loud.

Bar, Restaurant and service was superb.

During our visit it seemed a little understaffed so waits for drinks at the bar and for ordering at breakfast occurred and odd details could be improved though staff are pleasant and friendly. A ledge in the shower for soap/ gel would be helpful!

I've stayed here before and would happily stay here again. It's one of those 'does what it says on the tin' places in which the Lakes excel. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable enough with decent storage space and a desk. Bathrooms are OK and the shower decent. The food in the restaurant was very good and served speedily and efficiently. The breakfasts too are good. Particularly impressive was the servicing of the room with top ups of tea, coffee, biscuits, water and great to come back to after each day's walk. Good parking facilities too.

There was disco music thudding at 10pm. I told the staff and wherever it was coming from if got turned off. The Ennerdale local beer was totally lacking in flavour

    Delicious food

The only thing I could mention are all the little noises at night - like barking dogs (this is a pet friendly establishment), squeaky floors (part of the character of the very old building) and noise from the downstairs pub. I didn't mind it at all, but if someone is a very light sleeper, it could be an issue

The Bridge Inn is located in a beautiful area, so close to popular walks like Scafell Pike, for example. The room was very clean, and all the amenities were very good (nice decor, modern bathroom). The place is full of character, and the downstairs pub area is beautiful and really relaxing. It has a few different sitting and dining sections to choose from.

The check in was a bit off , kind of there but should be better.

The place is easy to find and close to the scafell pike car park. The food is sooooo amazing. You must have to try the Scafell Pike burger after the hike.

Bedroom door a little difficult to open, had to really yank it open.

Location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, excellent food. Old building, cheeky floors, sloping floor full off character.

It’s not really a complaint but I’m sure the floorboards creak more and more with each passing year

The charm of this old pub never fails to impress. Good food. Good ale. Good company.

Shortage of breakfast items? Needs tlc

The location us superb. However. Some of the staff were very green and not very helpful. They ran out of hollandaise sauce for eggs benedict and also hash browns.? My room was lovely and bed very comfy. The outside needs some tlc Outside area a bit uninviting . Needs flowers and a tidy up

As with everywhere post Brexit and Covid, another member of staff at peak times would have smoothed some of the waits for drinks and food orders at the bar.

Breakfast was excellent! Overall food was great. Out room and bathroom were clean and spacious....great value for money!

Rooms could do with a bit of investment. We had a plug and over bed light not working 100%.

Good location for accessing walks. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Big enough for a short stay but not much storage for a longer one. Food and breakfast were OK, nothing flashy but OK! Plenty of parking. Staff friendly. Very welcoming of dogs both in rooms and restraunt.
