A very minor concern was the noise from the pub below, however I appreciate that this is a popular and busy pub. However they did provide ear plugs which helped a lot.

This is a great location to stay in Whitby, the room was clean and tidy and had an excellent view of the harbour and sea. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The carpark is easy to find and the spaces are good for SUVs.

Great location with views of the river and Abbey. Room was compact but in a good position with private parking provided you did not mind being above a lively pub.

Great location right on the harbour front, if your wanting an early night and it's the weekend that's not happening, ear plugs are supplied but it's a room above a pub so what would you expect? 1st floor rooms so the folks on the top deck of the tour bus will smile directly at you, but the room was nice, it wasn't expensive and the staff were lovely. Oh and the car park is fun to find and if you have anything much bigger than a focus it's a tight fit.

Proprietor was very nice and helpful however prior knowledge of how to get to the car park would have been helpful. Very noisy, party upstairs the first night and dray delivery at 7:00 the 2nd morning

I needed a one night stay in Whitby reasonably close to the railway station and the Buck Inn was just what I was looking for. The room was very clean and comfortable and the view over the river and harbour was excellent. It was a midweek night so only a little noise from the pub and that finished around 23.00.

Inexpensive room above a pub in an exceptional position by the harbour. Staff very obliging, room small but clean, well maintained and comfortable. Pub noisy. We were there Thursday, Friday and Saturday have live music/karaoke. Extremely close to a wide range of excellent eating places.

The room was clean and tidy with tea/coffee facilities. Comfy bed . The staff were friendly and helpful and we had no issues. Ear plugs were provided due to music from the pub which wasn't that loud but ear plugs were a nice touch. I'd definitely stay again as it's in a really good location and close to shops.

Very comfortable room, warm and clean. Of course it is above a pub so may be a bit disturbed but the location on the harbour was great.

there was no signs any were to say what we needed to do with the keys so i had to just leave them in the door the pub downstairs was shut when we tried to check out other guests had the same problem. weren’t informed about what to do with the keys

The karaoke is loud but we were warned about that. It didn't bother us as we were prepared for it so decided to join in and make the best of it. Earplugs are provided (great idea) if you wish to retire earlier.

Location is perfect. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, only downside was it is a bit small. The staff were lovely and cheerful. Good atmosphere in the pub.

Was told it was a noisy pub and ear plugs were provided. The pub wasn't the issue but the staff in the upstairs flat who were up till 7 am chatting very loudly and stomping about. Poor night's sleep!!!

It was impossible to enjoy our sleep due to the karaoke nights in the pub. Our stay was close to Christmas, and for two nights was bearable. Definitely not for more.

Nice location, everything within walking distance. The rooms with the nice views are only a few.

No bulb in bedside lamp, the fancy coffee machine was a nice touch.....the choice of coffee pods not so....I'm guessing all the nice ones disappear early in the season🤣 I think this accommodation thinks too highly of itself. There is far better availability very close by for the same or less money: as evidenced by my visiting fellow members of our parties' respective establishments. That said, I wasn't disappointed, it served its purpose.

Location. Check in, with Holly, was pleasant and easy. Room was clean and comfortable The shower was hot and powerful.
